The Most Depressing Songs Ever Composed

Awesome thread, seeing a lot of great contributions and new music I've never heard before!

When I'm thinking about depressing music, I immediately have to think of Alice In Chains/Layne Staley. I already saw two songs when reading the posts, but IMO their most depressing song is missing..

Alice in Chains - Down In Hole

Beautiful and heartbreaking at the same time, especially the Unplugged version of the song. The candles and Layne's weakening physical and mental state creates this "funeral setting". So raw and pure, you can so clearly see and hear Layne's struggles. Is it about his addiction to heroin or about the love of his life? Or are these two the same thing? Either way, this song touches me deeply.

Of course the blues gives me the blues and lately Schoenberg. I only listen to these guys when I'm happy, which is rare, otherwise I'll probably be hanging myself.
