Twas two days before Christmas, and all through the land. Not a Christian was stirring, not even the lambs. The sweetheart trade deals were signed
with a pen with care, in hopes not a person would even care. Of course most of the criticism of the TPP has been focused on American 'evil'
corporations.Without so much as a thought to the foreign ones. According to this article the days of 'Made in X' is gone. A country snipped you off,
and want to boycott? No so fast! In fact that could open you up to litigation.
Do you want to buy American? Forget about it. Under this deal, there can be no labeling to tell you a product is made in America. Do you want
to boycott Brunei because of the way it treats Christians and because it is implementing Islamic law? Good luck finding labeling that tells you
products were made in Brunei. Under the TPP, it is even arguable that citizen boycotts of the products of a certain nation could open the individuals
up to litigation.
The Grinch who stole Christmas. Bah Humbug
Brunei!
The article goes on to talk about how Brunei has went all medieval. Hell I wouldn't buy nothing there. Sharia Law people! Celebrating Christmas IS
verboten! At least in public. Gotta keep that on the down low.
My beef is not so much with Brunei living in the dark ages. My beef is getting sued for boycotting a foreign state. Americans LOVE to do that, and now
thanks to the TPP ?
Hate (Insert Country) ? Boycott and get sued!
So who did the TPP really benefit ?
I honestly think the deal was created to increase crap products being shipped in to this country.
Any hoo.
Merry Christmas Brunei! MERRY CHRISTMAS! Now come lock me up!
