Democratic presidential candidate Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders once penned an essay claiming that men fantasize about abusing women and women fantasize about being raped.

It's not exactly what you'd expect from the far Left candidate whose campaign runs on the idea of equality for all Americans.

The 1972 article "Man — and Woman," published in the Vermont Freeman, displays Sanders' views on gender and sexuality at the time of its publishing.

"A man goes home and masturbates his typical fantasy," wrote Sanders. "A woman on her knees, a woman tied up, a woman abused."

When in comes to female fantasies, Bernie also knows all.

His controversial views of male and female sexuality have little explanation, other than he was a part of a radical hippie movement back in his younger years.

I see Gully cleared this up, but I found it really bizarre that someone would know enough about polls to bother commenting, but be completely unaware of the most well-known and probably most well-respected polling organization.

As for your "all important fact", think of it like Football: if Team A beats Team B, and Team B beats Team C, it doesn't necessarily mean Team A will beat Team C. They match up differently. The same thing goes for political opponents. Any implication that polls don't make sense because A>B, B>C but A is not > C indicates a lack of understanding of the variables and complexity of elections.

It matters because ultimately, primary voters can be swayed, in choosing a candidate who may be their second choice, but preferred to their expected opponent. In this case, while Clinton is leading Sanders, Sanders appears to be more preferred over Trump than Clinton is. Some Democratic primary voters will take notice and vote for him over Clinton. Likewise, the party is likely to throw more of its weight behind their " best chance to win " candidate, further affecting the voting public's perception of the candidates.

Regardless, I believe that ultimately, Clinton wins in a landslide, as many Republicans stay home, many Democrats hold their noses and vote for Clinton, and the rest of us vomit in our mouths repeatedly.
