Try going back and reading Murgatroid's post, and you'll see "why the finger pointing". As a Christian, he has no room to point a finger at Islam for "hate speech", when Christianity also meets the "criteria for hate speech".

Things that are false spread within those social media groups because the members of the groups want to believe. They want to believe stories about radical mosques, because they strongly believe in such stories. They then participate online in discussion of the stories with a very specific world-view.

They are debunking a particular headline about it being in SB and being radical.

This is bunk because of the facts stated above. It was just one young man (as far as is known), it was not in San Bernardino, the mosque was not burnt down. The mosque does not seem to be "radical" either

A more accurate title for the story would have been:

Admittedly saying burned down might be a bit misleading, but it was a victim of arson and took significant damage.

There is nothing false about two mosques getting attacked with intent to send terror to them.

There is a word for that...

And the location isn't said to be in SB, YOU are trying to correlate the headline in meta to the OP.
Just because you can't see the difference between the two doesn't make if false.
