need help on a home video survallence system

So my ex-wife is marrying a police officer. It has gotten to the point where she is basically saying that I shouldn't mess with her cause her fiancee is a cop. I know the guy and always thought he was a decent person. Unfortunately she is crazy I am looking to get a video/sound recording system for my house and car. I would like it to be able to catch both sounde and video. I also want it to upload to a remote server space. I do have a 1 terabyte external drive. I have no other equipment and when I look on the internet, I really dont know what to get. Any help is appreciated.I want this to protect myself and family in the event she comes over again and deos something crazy, or I get pulled over by a cop and am harassed by a fellow cop friend of my ex wife's future hubby.
