Don't mistake modern liberalism for classic liberalism. In modern day terms the founding fathers would be considered libertarians.

What's wrong with identifying as being human, of planet Earth?

When the individual loses their identity to the collective.

Say hello to fascism.

Say hello to communism.

Say hello to socialism.

So...what are you, a "thing" not a human of planet Earth?

Please explain to me how your individualism would be lost? This is some seriously high drama, and my eyes rolling sound like two boulders scraping the Earth.

We humans depend on plants, air, water, animals, everything! and yes even other humans!

Oh the horror!

And we shouldn't confuse modern socialism with classic socialism. In modern day terms, the founding fathers would be socialists.

Ummm..nope. I am pretty sure that Fascism is about attempting to control the lives of people. So far from that side we have them trying to take away a women's right to choose, to control another persons ability to get married ie..gay marriage, an attempt to instill religion into politics, get rid of Obamacare, even though the people have spoken through votes..TWICE... basically taking their votes away and offering no alternatives to it, would support Military coup if it would get them control of government, and want to take away the rights of Muslim Americans out of fear.

I am pretty sure that I am missing a few.

They would not be considered as socialists... Socialists favor the collective over individual rights... The founding fathers knew that "the people" consisted of individuals, as such individual rights were favored by the founding fathers...

Tell, me, how is the right of the individual to private property socialist?...

In socialist doctrine the good of the collective is more important than anything else, including individual rights...

No they wouldn't be.

Cause if they were they would have created social security, medicare, and medicaid, and the ACA.

The Founding Fathers were greedy one percenter capitalist pigs.

I hear them oinkin loud and clear to this day.

Social Ownership is a recurring theme in may forms of socialism, but that does not mean private ownership does not exist at all in a socialist state. That I think would be very communist. Certainly socialists themselves will tell you that they do not understand socialism to mean what you think it means. So......

Kind Regards

Not true in the least. There are many far right fascists.

World politics is seen like a huge circle with a line in the center. The top is democracy with a Left, Middle at top, Right. The Fascist is below the line with communism on the left and fascist dicatorships extending to the far right.

On a world level, for example years ago, NDP our social democracy was just left of center, Trudeau liberal was center and sometimes they would be just right of center. AND our conservative party was way to the right, very close to the totalitarianism border.

Now the last few decades and then Obama has really done a number on what it means to be left. They hijacked the left.

But I am still the real old school social democrat, in fact don't believe in money, banks, or real estate agents, but land and resources belong to all people.

But left doesnt mean, lets let Middle East take over here, or multiculturalism, or if a certain amount is allowed, no high risk. Left doesnt mean elimination of freedoms.

It means, equality for men and women, work of equal value, ie childraising as important, and to me far more important, than owning stocks and bonds and some tinsel company. Nothing is more important save, farming, building homes, and then I'd say that teaching and medical is equally needed. The rest are all nonsense.

It means medical, dental, something everyone on earth should have, land and controlled prices for necessities. It doesnt mean slavery or Sharia!

While not all socialists are communists, all communists are socialist.

Communists are predominantly anti-theistic in nature and want you to worship the state as your deity.
Socialists on the other hand promote freedom of religion. Something that most if not all communists abhor.

Yes they have similar centralized systems, Communism is essentially an extreme version of socialism however socialist economic policies are not as extreme as say the communist system in which there is no need for capital or public enterprises as everything is provided to the citizen's by the state which is controlled directly by the people.

Just for the record there has never actually been a truly communist nation, theoretically the "communist" nations should've given the means of political power over to the people. Cuba, the USSR,China and North Korea have never done this making them more socialist countries than anything. In my opinion they were/are state capitalist countries.

Wrong. I'm a socialist and I find that there are very few people on this forum that can debate the need for individual rights better than myself. That's one difference between modern and classic socialism.

Tell, me, how is the right of the individual to private property socialist?...

That's not the proper question because rights are not granted by an economic or political model. They are granted by god and the constitution. Socialism has to work within that infrastructure.

In socialist doctrine the good of the collective is more important than anything else, including individual rights...

That's the second difference between modern and classic socialism. Individual rights are most important, but within a wealthy and prosperous collective the good of the collective can also be addressed.

Tell me, why did the founding fathers write the General Welfare Clause? How about the need to tax the people to provide for the common defense?

Sounds like socialist talk, doesn't it?

Not really doesn't matter the system.

The people are ruled by proxy for the 'common good'.

The few call all the shots. Doesn't matter which system it is.

You just described Fascism as right-wing.

I would say socialism is about sharing wealth..... do you know what would happen if everyone that could afford to tithe ( donate 10 ^% of their income ) actually did that?

Of course that is just theory because of Lust & Greed, so was the theory of Nazi Germany.

Kind Regards.

Stupid lefties with their love of the earth and equality for all

Except gun owners, bankers, ceo's,Christians, corporations, and Mosanto, and GMO

Except for anyone basically the left hates at the time.

Then it's equality for 'all'.

But us Lefties also own firearms, use the banks, call ourselves Christian, own corporations and eat GMO cheeseburgers.

Perhaps your fears are misplaced?
