After 7 years of "hope and change" I'd say we're in really bad shape.

Republicans and democrats hate Trump because he is talking about things that resonate with the average American. He is not talking about the contrived issues that the establishment uses to separate us.

So the media and everyone connected to the establishment will try to take him down.

I've got some really bad news for ya.

Despite what you may believe, if Trump's message is resonating with you, you're not representative of the "average American."

If anything I say it's more representative of the "below average American."

If you don't believe me, nominate him and we'll see how the "average American" votes.

Actually, that's hilarious. It's also an opinion, because you evidently don't know a single genius. I do know a couple of bonafide geniuses, and it's very interesting to listen to people that are able to think on multi-layers talk about Donald Trump's thought process and problem-solving abilities with admiration and inquisitiveness. I haven't decided on my vote yet, but Donald is extremely interesting to watch, listen to, and read about. We'll see where he's going with this.

Yeah, everything was just hunky-dory right up until Obama took office, then he ruined everything.

Did I say that? Sounds like you bought the hype from Obama though.

Obama supporters questioning the intelligence of Trump supporters. hahahahahahahahaha

I would hope everyone stays on the topic of the OP, because this has very little to do with partisan bickering, but it's actually a very good example of Trump's world, and the world we live in.

If we look closely at our own MO's, then we'll see that most of us are very much like Donald Trump. Name callers, ad hominem attacks, and trying to belittle our opponents to gain attention, and change minds seems to be status quo for many these days.

That is the whole aim of practical politics.

Two sides both trying to convince they other they are 'better'.

So vote for them.

Truth is?

Politicians as a whole are not even close to being 'mental giants'.

Every single one reads from a script prepared by someone else.

I think that's what has, not just our own politicians, but the whole world upset about Trump. He isn't following the script!!

I've some really bad news for you too.

It certainly doesn't take a genius to "solve" problems by firing and/or suing everyone who disagrees with you.

Although, the word bully does come to mind.

It doesn't take a genius to become "successful" when you were born with a silver spoon sticking out of you ass.

And....anyone that "admires" a father who repeatedly remarks about how he'd be dating his own daughter if he wasn't already married etc., etc., is IMO a very misguided individual to begin with.

I may not personally know any geniuses, but at least I know what one is.

What I have been seeing lately. More frequently is people are trying to make Trump in to some messanic figurehead.

I am asking Trump supporters to take a step back, and think.

It's ok to question, but not blindly follow to the level of zombie status.

And NO I am NOT saying ALL Trump supporters are acting this way.

Just take a pause and have some reflection on the issues, and for crying out loud please don't act the Obama supporters did.

Blindly accept everything the guy says.

Because if you don't.

Buyers remorse is gonna be a snip.

I 100% agree with this. Obama had people mesmerized by his smooth-talking articulate way of speaking. Donald has some people mesmerized by his in-your-face-tell-it-like-it-is un-PC way of speaking. Same thing.

Look at the actions taken to solve problems and find real solutions. Obama has always talked the talk but is a dismal failure at walking the walk. We should look at Donald and ask ourselves about his walk, not his talk.

Sure,

The politics are well into play, though. Questioning the IQ's of Trump supporters in only the start.

The ONLY reason Trump is palatable is because he isn't an establishment politician.

Demagoguery is a given, and something there is no control over.

But the power of our vote is solely in our discretion.

People just need to remember sticks and stones may break my bones, but Trump haters dogma will forever cloud their common sense.

In other words.

Words only have power if we let them.

Something else we have control over.

Think about it, how many average folks actually listen, understand or care what a typical politician has to say?

Before everyone passes by this thread because of their own hatred, ignorance, and inability to see what Donald Trump is actually doing I would ask you to keep an open mind.

Donald Trump is not racist, he appears to offend every race and gender there is including his own.

Trump is therefore an Equal Opportunity Offender, because he offends and insults everyone equally.

So, the case is being made that he isn't racist or bigoted....but that he's an asshole? To be honest, that is common among the very wealthy executive type.

Donald is saying things that most people and politicians are afraid to say.

Does that make him special? Brave? Or an asshole?

If i liked to stick my face into a bag of riled up bobcats, could I claim, "Im just doing what everyone else is afraid to do!!!" and no one will think im crazy?

Politically correct politicians are what help get our country in a rut, and Trump is changing the way people are seeing things, he’s a Maverick.

Then what's Joe Biden? He eschwed political correctness to the point he asked a man in a wheelchair to stand up.

So...do we want someone who "calls it like he sees it" as our chief diplomat? Will that help America's floundering image on the world stage? If his own countrymen seem to be having such a violently negative response to him, what will our allies and neighbors think?

Last time I recall a lack of political correctness from our president, BUsh was grabbing merkle by the shoulders and pissing off all of Europe. If Bush can do that without even trying, just imagine what Trump can do when he rolls up his sleeves and dials up his obnoxiousness to "11"?

Trump is the little kid that screamed “The emperor has no clothes!” and everyone seems to be shorting out and not sure what to actually do, or say, but now a lot of truths are on the table.

No, more like the little kid that points at girls at says, "Your fat" just to watch them cry.

Those people that feel he is a racist should look at the definition of a racist. Donald could be considered a bigot, but not a Racist.

Quite the straw man you have built up here.

Racist or not...he's not the guy anyone wants at Thanksgiving Dinner.

But then comes an individual that is calling out many issues that are real, while having not one ounce of political correctness.

Obama did the same thing, coming out with his platform of 'change we can believe in', a change from waging unjust wars started during the Bushy era. He was going to close Guantanamo and exit Afghanistan, remember?

What happened, exactly nothing. It was all hollow rhetoric, designed to capture everyones attention and hope for the promises never delivered, again and again…

Every election the public comes alive and like Altzeimers patients they forget they got hoodwinked every other time like they will this time, too.

Sure, Trump delivers the message we want to hear, thats his job. As a candidate it isn't binding. They all know this. Its the one time the main stream media carries any truth about anything.

Go ahead and buy it, one more time…

Meanwhile, back in chambers, they just agreed to escalate another war of terror somewhere. That will be signed into law during the holidays, late session, on New years eve.

A candidate who doesn't appreciate his constituents and seeks to offend as many as he can, isn't exactly presidential material. He may be entertaining to some and his message may resonate with others, but he offers no practical solutions -- only polarizing rhetoric.

Donald is saying things that most people and politicians are afraid to say. Donald is absolutely not politically correct, but how many people in the USA, ATS, and pretty much everywhere are sick of PC modus operandi?

Politically correct politicians are what help get our country in a rut, and Trump is changing the way people are seeing things, he’s a Maverick.

Trump is the little kid that screamed “The emperor has no clothes!” and everyone seems to be shorting out and not sure what to actually do, or say, but now a lot of truths are on the table.

rac·ist
rāsəst/
noun
noun: racist; plural noun: racists
1. 1.
a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another.

Here is just a few clips of Donald insulting everyone.

A list of who he has attacked.
• All politicians – Black, White, Brown, Yellow, Red
• All Mexicans
• All Muslims
• All Women
• All Whites
• All Blacks
• All Stupid People
• Bush pretty much all the Bushes
• Obama and his administration
• Reporters

Insults Women

Insults Politicians all races and genders here

Trump in the Debates and most of his opponents have no idea how to respond.

Obama offends reporters, but makes sense

So with all of this evidence being “Racist’ by definition is a person who believe one race is superior to another, and Donald Trump is far from this, because he insults everyone equally.

The reason Donald Trump is gaining mass attention and popularity is the fact he is saying what so many people are thinking, but don’t say. Donald is also saying what most politicians wouldn’t dare say, because they wouldn’t get re-elected, or shunned by their political party.

If you get angry, upset, and think Donald Trump is an idiot maybe it’s because he struck a nerve, and the truth.

I would wager Donald Trump will not be president, but the attention he has brought to this Jerry Springer Nation and world is nothing short of amazing.

Not good presidential material, if he wants to go around offending everyone, daily it seems, too.

You can't label all Trump supporters anything.

A guy like Trump needs to come along every now and then.

To remind Politicians, we are the masses. Both Parties have failed miserably.

We will only take your crap so long or we will send in a guy like Trump.

Trump said this am. "Only Muslims can fix this problem". I agree.

Not a vote has been cast...You think they get how pissed we are ?

You know what offends me more than Trumps style?

Politicians that lie

Politicians that are corrupt

Politicians that think they are better than their constituents

Politicians that are treated like royalty, but yet the people they serve are dirt

Entitled attitudes of Politician's

So what is Presidential material anyhow?

Candidates that lie cleaner and smoother than others?

Candidates that pander to a partisanship just to get elected, but then do the opposite once they are in office?

Is our nation not polarized already with the current administration? "if Trayvon Martian was my son" sure added fuel to a fire.

Our current leader is an embarrassment. Trump is an embarrassment. Past leaders have been embarrassments.

It appears that a presidential candidate is subjective and relative to the times.

We haven't had anyone worthy of the Office of the president in decades.

There's nothing unusual about Donald Trump.

He's just your average everyday regular joe-blow narcissist. He's the same as he's always been. Not sure why you guys expected anything different from him when he decided to jump on the campaign train ?

A leopard never changes its spots.
