eally, it is common sense that tells me all I need to know, but why did it take me so long to see it? Because, for some strange reason after being taught over and over again by the established rhetoric, I was blinded to the reality.

Yes you were blinded to reality, you have demonstrated that numerous times here on ATS for our entertainment.

However if this video is the common sense that tells you all you need to know, then I think reality that I and many other inhabit is a universe away from where you are.

Another fine example of how ignorant some can be over somethings so simple.

have been in an airplane, I have been in tall buildings, I have been on ships, I have been on mountains and it never dawned on me until today something that should have been so easy to question...if the Earth was round and the curvature existed then when viewing anything from a distance there should be some evidence...there has never been an instance where I looked at a landmark from a distance and wasn't able to see the entire structure.

No it should not.

If you saw that you describe it would imply that the earth was shaped as a cylinder.

If the world is shaped as a sphere it should 'curve away' at the same rate/distance in every direction, making the horizon a vertical line from your perspective.

Imagine if you observed the horizon curve. On a sphere earth you SHOULD observe the same looking horizon no matter the direction you look, right? But how could you - you just observed the top of the curvature to be in one specific place!

That would hold true for a cylinder - the earth would from your perspective curve away from a specific point at the ends (or top and bottom if you will) but not in the other directions.

Here look at this pic and imagine your viewpoint being the surface. See how the horizon then would curve?



Also can you see why a shape where the horizon would curve away no matter the direction you were looking is impossible?

I have watched this entire video and it does offer some very common sense reasons why it is not possible for the Earth to be spinning 1000 miles per hour and can not be a sphere, using math and common trigonometry and geometric principles they demonstrate over and over again why this is just not possible.

If math and common trig proves the earth is flat explain this:

I think the main logical flaw in the whole video is this: He is assuming that "up" and "down" are absolute statements/directions. By his logic, Australians would just fly off into space. On this planet, everything is measured from the centre point of the Earth.

Yeah that's a fair point. Relative distance from the surface is a separate issue from this though, I really meant that "down" at any given point on/above the surface is always pointing straight to the centre of the Earth. (edit: Therefore as things move across the surface eg rivers, that direction is changing constantly. I mean this in absolute terms outside of the Earth system.)
