I wouldn't call this bunch at ATS a friendly, Christian bunch either (overall). I see others said that before me and I agree. It made me laugh because I wouldn't describe this place that way at all. However, you will have a lot of people curious as to what you have to say.

Yeah it depends on the stance of the nonbeliever.

Atheism is a lack of belief or disbelief in god(s)

You can as an atheist come from 2 camps:
I lack belief in gods (often called agnostic atheism - using agnostic in its literal meaning 'without knowledge)

or

There are no gods (often called gnostic atheism)

The second of these is a claim in itself and as such does assume the burden of proof. Dependant on the god though you can disprove their existence if their attributes are contradictory

Btw, to all the genuinely nice folk still welcoming Randy and expressing concern for his introverted nature, apologies, I'm sure you are wondering why is this asshat derailing Randy's thread.

Myself and Randy are predictably just a pair of bored engineers who came here on night shift with the intention of trolling

Much to my dismay though most of the people we've run into seem too nice to troll and tbh we've ended up getting involved in genuinely interesting conversations (I know, we suck at trolling)

Randy is a happily married with more kids than is probably good for his stress levels

We humbly throw ourselves at the mercy of the admins, if you wanna ban us its completely understandable
