The MST3K reboot appears even more likely to happen! It has raised 5.8 million on Kickstarter, breaking the record of fund level for that site and the biggest crowd funded project to date, edging out the Veronica Mars kickstarter.

I must be getting old and git off ma lawny, but I have never heard of this in the slightest. Maybe it's a late night US kind of thing from the 70's? I'm tired. Clouds

What do you mean MSM ? This is a television show that did not have the funding to re start. It is not a media program.

It was mainly a fan supported show and had difficulty getting proper funding form a network.


The Veronica Mars movie (of which I am not a fan) was crowd funded.


The original Star Trek would have been cancelled much earlier (whereas it would not qualify for syndication) if it was not for fan support.

My sister and I were hooked on this show. We still love it. I like it because you get the actual movie (which usually were pretty good if you like B movies) and then the funny commentary, too. I hope it does come back.
By the way, last time I checked there are episodes on youtube.

Congrats MST3K!

I work on lots of Kickstarter funded projects and have had one of my own. Indygogo is another crowd funding platform that can work if you do plenty of social media work and attention.
