Shame there's no middle finger emoji. I'd use it to your Freedom of Speech to defend bigots.

One mans freedom of speech .... is another mans bigotry

Depends on which side of the fence you are!?

Ok here is the thing to all those up in arms.

This not about censorship of free speech, no one is censoring his vile rhetoric we can all hear it load and clear.
But:

1) Entry into the UK is not a right. Trump is not entitled to enter as a non UK or EU Citizen. It is a privilege and he is a guest and the UK has the right to withdraw that privilege with or without reason

2) The UK has it own fascist in the BNP and EDL and we put with them with Freedom of speech as they do have the right to their vile views. But why would we want to let another fascist in when we don’t have to?

3) And this the reason I signed the petition, Trump is a walking target for every jihadist and half the world’s nut jobs. He is a walking security risk. I don’t want the UK to waste valuable police and security service resources having to protect his vile arse. Nor do I want to see us put our police in danger having to protect him or to see innocent civilian risk getting caught up in any trouble.

4) For all those throwing insults at the UK is that touch of jealousy I detect? Upset the UK has some standards and control over who it allows through its boarders and you don’t?

5) All you trump supporters are hypocrites. You want Trump to close the borders and deny access to entire groups. Well the UK does it to one man and you go nuts?

6) What happens in the USA normally affects us. This petition is a UK protest. We don’t get a vote in the USA (rightly so) but we want to make it clear the USA is going down a dark path with trump. Let this be a message from your closest ally to be really be careful with trump.
You might not like to listen to us "europeans" and we have made a ton of mistakes, but one thing we know very well and have very hard experiance with and that fascists .

7) The UK got half destroyed in WW2 by fascists. We have a very low tolerance for them. Why would we want to let one in the country? In fact Fascists have killed more UK citizens and put the UK in more Danger than Muslim ever have….

8) This is only a petition, not official UK government policy. Yet.

9) No one is censoring Trump of denying his freedom of speech. We would just prefer it seems he practice it in the in his OWN country as again he NOT a UK citizen and as such is NOT entitled to UK entry. But dont worry we can still hear Trumps vile views loud and clear along with the mass collective jerking of knees across the pond.

Paul Joseph Watsons take on the issue.. (a bit of language)

If the hate speech and calls for the beheading of people and ISIS flag waving from the English Muslim communities is allowed and unpunished by the UK authorities yet seek to ban Trump from the country for so called bigotry and hate speech, there is a lot going wrong over there.

Someone tweeted something I found interesting, one of the Brits I follow.

"if we show solidarity to the cartoonists and Journalists over Charlie Hebdo over their right to offend Muslims, then why not defend Trump's rights to offend Muslims?"

I say let him in to the UK and get some great people together and debate him.
Put him and his vile views under scrutiny and show him up as the disgrace to humanity he is.
Banning him doesn't solve anything - we have no choice here but to listen, well I change the channel, but you guys could ban him but I think you'll give him more power and more notoriety.

Yeah here is the thing.......THEY ARE BRITISH CITIZENS. .....Although there views are repulsive they have the right to free speech within our borders. Plus they are a great intelligence tap as MI5 know who to watch and put under surveillance.

Trump IS NOT A UK CITIZEN.He does not have any rights to enter our country. Once he is in, sure he is allowed his free speech. But the fact is as a sovereign nation we are not obliged to let him through our boarders.

Being a American, or a billionaire or a celebrity does not entitle one to access through our boarders and we can revoke such privileges at any time for any non eu citizen for any reason.

Half the ones whinging here about poor old bigoted trump not being allowed in the UK are over on another thread praising the suggestion that all Muslims should be banned from entering the US based on what an unrepresentative portion of their faith is doing. Stupidity is reigning supreme, America really needs to sort its # out *shakes head*

I am not a Trump supporter.

I may be generally conservative, but Donald Trump is a scary idiot. We've had quite enough of scary idiots. Clinton, Bush, Obama, Hillary, Trump..They are all the same side of the corporatist coin.

Trump is a fascist.

I have an issue with limiting the market of ideas. There are plenty of radicals around the world that say things that are simply disturbing. That is not a cause to ban them.

I find banning things, ideas, or people from participation on what is a global discussion to be an abhorent way to deal with bad ideas.

Plenty of people have been banned from the uk, from Islamic hate preachers to hip hop artists like busta ryhmes
To dodgy African leaders like Robert Mugabe and his wife.

For numerous reasons. The biggest concern seems to be the effect their views may cause in multi ethnic communities, possibly inciting violence and tensions within certain communities. It's a case of damage prevention and keeping the peace in the uk. It's hardly like considering a blanket ban on a single religion practiced by hundreds of millions.

I don't believe trump should be banned. He cuts a comedy figure and he would get roasted by some uk journalists, so I think it would be funny to see him hear and challenged. He hasn't been banned but many his views could possibly cause tensions in certain communities, which I can understand the government not wanting to have to deal with when we have huge cuts to our police service who are in no shape to deal with violence in certain communities. en.m.wikipedia.org...

We are not banning his ideas or censoring him.

We can hear him load and clear dont worry. And we have our own home grown fascists in the BNP and EDL.

No ones banning there freedom of speech.

The fact revolves around the fact trump is not a UK citizen. He does not have right of entry and we can remove the privilege of him visiting whenever we want. You cant deny a right he doesnt have here, only take away a privilege which is what entry to the UK for US citizens is.

Why do we want to let him in when we dont have too?

Plus he is a walking security risk. Why waste our police resources and risk our polices lives to protect his vile arse ?

I support his freedom of speech but as a US citizen and not a uk citizen he can do it from your own borders were your own cops can protect him. Its not again like we cant hear him.

And the USA has the same right to, every time i travel to the USA its made clear on my visa waver form that border control can refuse me entry for any reason.

seems more likely to me, that she already has a personal dislike towards him, as do i, and many others .. and is likely trying to use the hate speech as a grounds to ban him, to fulfill her own personal desires to nevber have him back in Scotland with his crappy golf course, or att the very least, use the petition as a platform, knowing full well it will never succeed, but as platform for people to publically show their dislike towards him ....

as unlikely as the whole thing is to go through anyway .. it stands a better chance, than raising a petition to ban him on the grounds hes an embarrassing twat that uses scotland as a base for more revenue towards his empire while the rest of us sit back helplessly fuming .. she did something about .. or tried to anyway .. good on her .. i wish the rest of the UK were on board with her, against this and all stupidity thats forced on us agsint our will ... and lets face it .. most of you probably wish you could ban him from US too ...

Agreed and I hate Trump. He's a laughing stock, liar, idiot, biggot, moron, one trick pony etc and fabricates the entire content of his speeches...but I don't think he's ever seriously broken UK hate speech law (i.e calling for murder of people etc...)

This is more abuse of a law to keep a wanker wannabe -dictator whose messed up the UK out of the UK.

If it was for what he did to Scotland I'd sign it, but the 'hate speech' claims are stretching the definition too far.
