That's grat news, that Saudi Arabia finally comes into focus.

A bit of context to add: The german intel Service BND (Bundesnachrichtendienst) just recently published their assesment on Saudia Arabia:

Saudi Arabia is at risk of becoming a major destabilising influence in the Arab world, German intelligence has warned.

Source in english.
Te legraph co uk

It created a bit of discussions in the german media.
It s not quite clear why the BND did not warn before, and why they warn now.

I think the BND made it kinda clever;

“The current cautious diplomatic stance of senior members of the Saudi royal family will be replaced by an impulsive intervention policy,” a BND memo widely distributed to the German press reads. The memo focuses particularly on the role of Prince Mohammed bin Salman, the 30-year-old son of King Salman who was recently appointed deputy crown prince and defence minister.

In my view, that was the angle BND used; the new generation can be dangerous.
So they could convienently leave out what happend in the past. And still get the message through.

SA is a strong Partner of germany, germany just recently sent them Tanks and boats.

At least Germany has a backbone and doesn't fall in line with the rest of the NATO ducks. It's outrageous that we even consider a country who 15 out of the 19 hijackers on 9/11 were Saudi nationals. In addition, it's a country with a repressive regime and a deplorable human rights record that follows Sharia law.

Other human rights concerns include the death penalty, with more than 2,000 people executed between 1985 and 2013; the arrest, imprisonment and harassment of large members of the Shi’a Muslim community and other minority groups; long-standing exploitation and abuse of migrant workers by private and state employers; and continued discrimination against women in law and practice.

The U.S. and NATO turns a blind eye to Saudi Arabia for the sole purpose of keeping their oil flowing to the west. NATO is sleeping with the devil.

This is the sort of thing Obama SHOULD have said last night in his lame speech on terror. It needs to be called out and it needs to be stopped.

If we are going back in time, we have to play the game right. The basics in the past, is these are the friends and these are the foes. Lets call it like it is, in all cases. Now we know where we stand and from there fight the visible fight.

A snake should to be known as snake and treated in accordance.

It is just obvious that Saudi have a massive part in all of this. I mean they have taken in a grand total of 0 Syrian refugees. We need to start cutting off the funding and therefore the spreading of this extremism. What is the point dropping bombs in locations disclosed in the media hours/days before and then telling the public "MORE BOMBS" is the solution when ISIS strike back?

Clearly the airstrikes don't work and what we need is our "Leaders" not to act macho and strut their stuff by dropping bombs but to actually get their heads together, THINK of the cleverest way to go about it and implement it!

Cut off their funding, then send some of these satellites over Syria to track all the pennyless Jihadi's, then gather them all up and punish them in a court of law!! Make a proper example of them!

Germany has publicly warned Saudi Arabia against further financing religious radicals globally.

Shoot, they bought all that oil for decades, helped arm them to assist their empire. Only now offering token gestures of speech?

Time to pretend to look away… its politically correct.

He can't. In fact US media hardly speaks about the Sauds except in loose terms… "allies and coalition".

Actually, the main market of Saudi Arabia is Asia, Saudi Arabia would love to become a big supplier in Europe which is the main market of Russia.

I don`t see any difference between Osama bin laden and these other billionaire Saudi princes who are also funding terrorist.
They should ALL be given the same treatment as Bin laden, hunted done and killed.
seriously, what is the difference between what bin laden was doing and what these other Saudis are still doing?

Yes, he should have... provided that the US really wants to end IS.
No POTUS can do that though. Not since Nixon made his Dollar-Deal with the Sauds back in 1973.

*I doubt Obama wants to add "ending the Petrodollar" to his achievements...

All our problems come from Saudi Arabia.

Boko Harem, 9/11, Daesh/ISIS, Al Quada, Osama Bin Laden, Billions of dollars in aid (that we could have used to help pay off our national debt, fund a single payer healthcare system and given free college to everyone), San Bernardino...They all come from Saudi Arabia.

Cut em off. Now is the time.

Wahhabism is a satanic philosophy that is the worst thing for Islam in its History

Now tell Obama that obsequious punk that actually bowed to that stupid Saudi king

Obama’s a dope and knows nothing about Islam. The Saudis are not ISLAM they are occupiers of the Prophets legacy and the Prophet himself labeled them Satanic.

Obama is a superficial ignoramus who knows nothing about the nefarious Wahhabi/Salafi deranged aspect of the religion.

I often wonder why people will post this and it might be true, but say nothing of the rest of our government. A more honest post would have been:

Obama and the rest of the democrats and republicans in congress including all of our democratic and republican presidential hopefuls no nothing about Islam. Don't fool yourself into thinking Trump, Cruz, Hillary, Rubio, Carson, Mallory etc know any more about Islam than Obama. And let's not forget that Obama is being advised on his policy by top generals and admirals in the pentagon and the top spymasters of the NSA, CIA and FBI. The same advisors that the next president would have.
