The orange “forbidden fruit.”

The forbidden fruit was indeed a real fruit, but not necessarily an apple.

It was the fruit that came from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. God told Adam and Eve they could eat of every tree's fruit that had seed in it (Gen 1:27–29), and apples have seeds in.

In the garden were two trees - the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, and the Tree of Life.

The Bible claims God had forbidden eating fruit from these trees, but a serpent took an apple from the Tree of Knowledge and tempted Eve into eating it.

The connection between the Empress and the Tree of Life is very apt. Sephirot are all tightly intertwined with the major arcana but none more literally than her. The mother of all life resting in the tree of life.

Who would you say is resting in the Tree of Knowledge?

Well, Adam and eve had to put fig leaves on after eating the fruit. They either broke out from the plant defense system chemicals of the fruit or they went after the food of the gods. They could have got stung by bees when robbing the bee hive to get the honey. Honey would be the fruits of the bee.

Amazing . Very good observation DISRAELl -- Bet I have read that many times and not have gotten the message and believe me I have read the bible many times over. That is the most amazing revelation given to me in years. I will never forget that or the one who gave it to me. Thanks a million.

This new assumption opens up the possibility that Adam and Eve were eating from the Tree of Life before they were expelled. In fact I will go further and suggest that the whole point of placing Adam and Eve in the Garden was that they should be eating from the Tree of Life as long as they were living there. “Living in the Garden” goes together with “eating from the Tree of Life”; they are one and the same thing.

Read your above 2012 thread and have copied the entire post For my favored texts. You should re post that thread with the inclusion of the New Jerusalem's same tree and water of life. It fits like a hand and glove. Some years back a Christian Rabbi was trying to teach me of two Gan Edens of which one was the Lower Garden and one was the Upper Garden. Being a novice in Christianity, I had never absorbed that teaching till you made it clear to me in this thread. I am almost ninety now and that took an astounding seventy years to bear fruit. You are truly a great teacher.

I have a question in this teaching. Where did the serpent get disobedience in order to teach disobedience? Did disobedience come from the celestial realm first? Did the serpent have to eat fruit in order to have this knowledge to do good and evil? If not then why would a man and woman have to eat to understand the very same evil? If all were created terrestrial entities then how would the serpent know more than Adam and become Adam's teacher?

I have always understood that this knowledge was a evil spirit and that the fruit was only the act of embracing the spirit. Not that the fruit contained a magic that changed the man and woman but showed the intent of choice. The reason I say this is that the Creator told Adam not to eat of the tree and he obeyed that command. The woman was told the very same thing and she disobeyed that command. By this I have always assumed that they knew this evil existed and then chose to embrace this evil just the same as Satan decided the very same thing in the celestial realm. This spirit was created by the Creator as an evil spirit and the Satan's of the celestial realm first embraced this spirit, were cast down to this world and taught this to the animal kingdom first. Which is it? A spirit or a magic fruit?

Can you give me your understanding of this?
