You guys are entertaining :p, to all you naysayers it was just a suggestion. And with the right precautions and rules I think it would work pretty well. I agree with the member that said this site has become like another MSM, but I guess it is what it is, so why not just join the club.

And you're willing to go with the status quo. My contention is that ATS is not worth what it was and to dilute it further will make it worse than it is now, cheapening the site to the point that it is just like every other news aggregator site with nothing to distinguish it from anywhere else. So why have it?

There are plenty of dating websites that you can go on for free, without adding dating to this wonderful forum.

It is a nice idea, but I think it would be a no go.

My argument to that is it would be a good place to meet like minded people and even to make new friends. What about people that relocate and know not a single person. I'm sure it happens even here. Sure it "might" dilute ATS a bit, but looking at ATS, its already fell down that rabbit hole. Why are you so against the idea?
And no I'm not willing to go with the status quo, I just see an opportunity for ATS members to actually have some sort of way to get to know one another instead of staring at a screen or even starting a meaningless argument which is usually harder to do when your looking in the face of an actual person.

I think it is an awful idea.

I can go to any one of a thousand places I can think of, if I want to get friend zoned, humiliated, or better yet and far more probably, ignored by the opposite sex. I like the fact that the issue never comes up here...
