I disagree that ATS is but a drop on the social media ocean. I find more and more people that have heard of it and ask me about it.

I was more alluding to other social media like Facebook and Twitter. Yes, ATS is awesome and it is my personal favourite site on the web.

NWO one world government I think you elude to. That part is inevitable. Try diplomacy with an alien planet with 196 countries. Not gonna happen.

That is a closed minded opinion. Why do we need a one government system to keep a race of beings that are not us and do not represent us happy? That sounds like the aliens you want to contact us would be rather racist and one eyed if you ask me. If so, they can stay on Uranus (school child giggle)

Diversity is part of the human codition. That means diversity of culture, language, religion. identity and nation. The UN is the closed I would ever want to see us come to a one world govt.

And that in itself is an absolute farce because the USA constantly hijacks it for it's own agendas.

I am guessing that any aliens that visit us will have multi cultures themselves, but have a centralized council to represent their planet (s). They will not want to have to deal with 196 representatives once they stop by to say hello.

So.... A non corrupt UN then?

I don't want decisions for my country being made in any other place than my country. I am happy however for my country to participate in fair and equal dialogue with everyone else.

A one world government removes that right and a centralised power gets to call the shots for everyone, which becomes biased and non representative of the people.

Besides, I am 99.9% sure that they are already contacting us one by one, nation by nation Marian apparitions anyone?
Take a look at where 'she' has been - pretty much everywhere, and that does include the Muslim world too.

Yes. A non-corrupt UN. I am also 99% sure alien governments are contacting someone, I am not sure it would be in any order of countries, but it is possible.

You used the shotgun affect and still missed.
Not surprising since it's never been done before.

Obey God, The world is full of people who just don't want
to do that. So there's your cure and the exact reason we all
get front row seats to it going right in the toilet, all roled
up in one. Now take a deep breath.

The two things that the world is lacking the most of are truth and love for fellow mankind and life. With those two things, there would be peace on Earth and no war. If you love your neighbor, you do not create war with them, and the first casualty of war is truth.

We do not love each other as we should and thus truth is lost, which is what we see with today's MSM with its 24/7 propaganda machine and the government's war machine.

As for what we're missing? It's older than our current society by a long shot, it is the familial unit. In today's society we are either at work, in school, watching TV, on our phones, etc. to really have any meaningful family time. This is not to mention we are encouraged to leave home at a certain age and spend even less time with family.

We are missing that crucial family time that was so abundant in the earlier stages of our evolution. The tribes in the Amazon are peaceful, going as far as to isolate themselves within the largest forest in the world to avoid conflict with others. They have a much more stable 'society' (familial unit) than we do in the modern world.

We have given authority to those whom we do not know and whom do not know us either, which is why we so much corruption. If you give authority to someone outside of your familial unit, whose family is the one in authority going to look out for first, yours or their own? If the gap between authority and person widens (as we see in today's world) corruption is even more widespread.

We have left behind the old way of things (Amazonian tribes as an example) and embraced a new way, a more harmful way. We see it with the destruction of forests and pastures all over the world, being replaced by concrete which suffocates and kills the land beneath it. We see it in the fast food industry where we are so far removed from our food that we turn a blind eye to the suffering that chicken or core went through in the factory farm where it lived its entire life. I've seen videos of these places, it is terrible and disgusting.

We may have gone to far to turn it around, but I will always hope it can be turned around.

Getting off topic, but I've personally experience Marian apparitions and I will swear upon any holy book you want, my grandmother's grave or anything else you dare that they are real.

Which means that either

A) God is real (though most Christians don't even accept Mary)

or

B) That 'someone' extra terrestrial is contacting us.

The messages being imparted are simple - turn to a spiritual life and love one another.

If it were this simple...love thy neighbor, live outside of big government, go back to nature, less time on the internet/devices...this would have been solved in the 70s. This does not fit how we are today.

Were not talking too each other anymore. Were only speaking at each other and to ourselves—our own self congratulating fruit, and not listening to the other side at all.

There ya got it Will. We can see this all day long on ATS. "I know, you don't". And what you call congratulating fruit I call preaching to the choir. Do we see many long threads with discussion? Some but mostly the long threads are threads full of ''mine over yours' and the proverbial 'ain't we great and all the rest stupid."

Even here if we spent more time making attempts to find things to like about what others say rather than looking for the faults in their positions we might all learn something. I learned something from you Will. Thanks.

Very astute. Outstanding response!

Thanks

We can define the real problems: Hot stops

Abortion
Terrorism
Political polarity of conservatism versus Liberalism with extremes and in betweens
Global warming
Guns
Butter
Race
Religion
Legacy of racism
Legacy of colonialism

AND OTHER STUFF

The solutions probably have to be internally based at first: tolerance, and understanding, compromise, respect, even love.

If the inner qualities were accomplished we'd be half there

Of course if any inward capacities are reached then there is a possibility of one persuading the other of the wisdom of their ways over the way of the other side without the repercussions of unnecessary verbal or physical confrontations

I know that a 'goddess' is real the word 'God' is fine though. What Christians don't accept Mary? My mother is particularly devoted to her and ST. Anthony.

However, my 'is real' is so much different that other's 'is real'.

However, when you say you have seen these these things, I believe you. You have no ulterior motives and I don;t believe you to be insane.

It is not completely OT, because the 'God' most of us pray to and the Logic Atheists and Agnostics rely upon, is likely the very same thing. And if we could all get together on this, the OP is perfect.

And the illustrious Mary Magdalene

I like a lot of the Bible and believe historical portions as well as some portions that have no verifiable source. What book have you written? I would like to read it.

The truth spoken in one line:

The two things that the world is lacking the most of are truth and love for fellow mankind and life

And who (or what groups) takes that away from the people ?
1) Religion
2)Governments

Not sure of the order of magnitude there..

We are being trapped by fear and our governments are closing the walls in on us. What do rats do when trapped? They eventually attack each other or die of depression, stress. Those that survive are studied, the walls come up and they are led around into another maze, or removed and caged to get healthy again, but it's all a form of individual and social observation. For what? Species understandings, control in the interest of developing a new breed, understanding individual and societal breaking points.

We are under observation. Controlled living and dying. We are being cornered. We are free to move about in the maze, which is shrinking...the hands are at work, and will intercede. Dependency is the goal. Breaking the human spirit. Why? To enslave freedom. To force assimilation. To weed out the strong willful sects.

What do we do about it? Break out of the maze? It's too late for that. We have to bite the hand hard, and risk death so others can escape. Get smarter and more more lethal, hardened. Or just assimilate and hope the hands will stop. Just sitting still, avoiding conflict and looking for the peaceful solution will not free us. We must be unhandled.

Now, rats are helpless...we are not helpless yet. But fear of dying and suffering has made us scared, and eventually helpless. We need to make the hands weary of handling us.

What does the world need?
Some would say that what the world needs now is love, sweet love.

Maybe the world needs a hero.

Sadly, heroes are hard to find.

Really, it's up to each and every one of us to change things and make the world a better place. I doubt it would ever happen because most people just don't give a damn about anything anymore.

If you want peace build sustainable societies, the U.S. Spends three times its sustainability, a parasite on the rest of the world. And it comes in the form of your childish culture built on ideals instead of reality.. Your nation is not sustainable, that comes with a price in the end. So it's no ones fault than your own.

We had people in the inner circle who fought for peaceful means at a low cost, they are gone.

Embrace humanity, jesus, Muhammad, buddha that is the only thing that will prevail.

We live in the age of reformation.
