I think you are exactly right. They are hoping something will happen to take the attention away and the pressure will let up so they can "leak" things at 3am and hope nobody notices. Still waiting for them to "seal" the case....

See my edit. Don't have any popcorn or nearly enough patience to sit through more than 10 minutes of that. To think---those guys are billing by the hour!

I'm having a bit of trouble getting my mind wrapped around the picture this family is trying to paint of the relationships among the sisters, brothers and in-laws. I can understand the males not seeing the wife's face---to some extent---but would that very fact not tip them off to the radicalization? Obviously, the other women in the family don't do the bag thing, only the head covering, so wouldn't the fact that she was of the "bags over all women" cult be a clue?
Also the fact that they were attempting to arrange his marriage speaks of fundamentalism. I don't know of a single muslim couple whose marriage was arranged. That custom was left behind when they came to the US. The only arranged marriages with which I've come into contact were Indian Hindu men whose families had arranged their marriages for when they finished college and returned home. They were devout men and simply could not imagine defying their parents' wishes. Both were students of mine in summer field schools.

I'm still not buying this.

So I was out in my car and turned on DC 101.1 and was shocked. Elliot was streaming some kind of audio feed of people screaming and sound bites. Then I turned it off and then back on, because it was too much. And he was ranting about the shooting non stop he sounded in hysterics. He mentioned that the "shooters" were all wearing go-pro cameras or something about video footage but I can't find it anywhere online. I saw one clip of people recording others saying they heard there were three men in military style camo who had magazines. I believe that it's odd, how detached Obama was about gun control and that's all he said, when that area was a gun free zone. The similarities: each of these mass shootings came directly after an emergency counter-terrorism drill. Each of these mass shootings happened and the suspects were eliminated or in the case of the theater shooting, "mentally ill" and incapacitated. Why are they doing this to us?

I offered to be an agent or in office analyst a number of years ago. They wanted a college degree and under 36 and multilingual. I guess being relatively intelligent and having balls enough to confront a guy that a few weeks later that was several federal agencies most wanted doesn't qualify. Anyway they can't blame me that they are understaffed. Shrug.

They have more than enough money, the problem is that while there is a large number of folks who are diligently trying everyday, to keep America safe, there is a greater effort to overwhelm them with outside politically pressured efforts to deny the threat, to even claim there is no threat...

I can just imagine 100yrs down the line, historians will be reviewing what is happening in the US now in regards to politics, corporations, and shaking their collective head saying WTF were they thinking, and how did the citizens with their precious freedom, allow this to happen....

This is our legacy... and it ain't pretty ..
