ETA: Female activity in said cartels has been increasing, particularly in leadership roles. And there was this in June.

I don't recall them saying the race of the shooter in Colorado Springs either. Wasn't until he came out that we knew. Maybe I'm misremembering, but all I kept hearing was beefy big trenchcoat and camo or something.

I could be the one remembering wrong here, too, but I swear they did, just in an unconfirmed capacity. Not like outright saying it, but akin to a "no comment" approach from their LEOs.

If the mentions of hispanic descriptions are correct, then the possibility of a cartel or gang strike on the place starts to gain a little more merit versus 2 warring gangs going apesheet. You never know who could have been an informant at some point.

Sounds like this might have been a sleeper cell that got activated by someone on the inside of this agency who got ticked off about something.

Maybe Farooq himself was part of the cell and left party to activate cell...because it was after all, a "Christ"mas party. Early reports said that Farooq left 30 minutes before shooting. Sounds pretty reasonable to assume that it was him who left and returned with some shooters. A large party, a celebration of Christ...the perfect hit for Jihadis.

You know you can still take, say, a Cuban and an Italian, put them side by side, and have people tell you that's 2 Italians, right? BTDT with a Cuban family friend who looked more straight out of Rome than parents from Havana.
Also, I've met a blonde haired, green eyed Mexican with a good tan. Nice lady, but didn't look a lick like what YOU would peg as Mexican, so no, you can't always peg them right off the bat as Hispanic.

It seems none of the stations can agree on what to call it. I've heard "workplace violence", "domestic terrorism", and possibly "international incident".

Even they can't get their stories straight. If they don't know then they should just say that.
