Governments have murdered more people in the last 100-plus years than any other killer in existence. Statistics vary between 250 and 300 million dead depending on the source, but these counts typically only include civilian casualties and are underestimated. With military deaths added, the numbers soar much, much higher. While threat of German Nazi and Russian Communism have passed us by, the threat of democide will never pass us by.

The process, people, and purpose may be different (just as the culture is different), but taking religious fury to a violent level (that is the same)... and to blame the "others" for you problems (is the same). Religious wack-jobs who don't even take their own religious teaching serious enough to conduct themselves in a decent way toward love ones near them--but they want to lash out in hate at strangers???

it also seems similar in other ways to many christians now days, hiding under the identity of "Republican" and wanting to break away from the union.... protesting the treatment of christians, protesting the treatment of the unborn, ect....

but yes, there have been christian terrorist groups in the past, the kings and queens of europe used them to undermine the rulers of their neighbors, and expand their territory. heck, the boston teaparty was a terrorist act....and I imagine that our own revolution was dressed up with at least a little christian attire.

heck, some interpret that bible in such a way that they belief that any war is wrong, and yet, the US, that so called "christian nation" has dropped more bombs on people's heads than any other country I'd venture to guess! which the last two wars being dressed up in so much christian attire, that they were at first labeled as crusades by our leader!

That doesn't matter. Terrorism doesn't have to come from the bible or be a lesson within the religion. Anyone can be a terrorist based off of their own skewed interpretation or religion. They may not represent a Christian to you but you probably wouldn't be considered a Christian to them either.

When someone interprets life lessons from something they can interpret it all kinds of ways and to them it's the truth.
