"This is my only warning. At 10 a.m. on Monday mourning (sic) I am going to the campus quad of the University of Chicago. I will be armed with a M-4 Carbine and 2 Desert Eagles all fully loaded. I will execute aproximately (sic) 16 white male students and or staff, which is the same number of time (sic) Mcdonald (sic) was killed.

"I then will die killing any number of white policemen that I can in the process. This is not a joke. I am to do my part to rid the world of the white devils. I expect you to do the same," the post read.

"Mcdonald" appears to refer to Laquan McDonald, 17, who was shot 16 times and killed last year by Officer Jason Van Dyke, who faces first-degree murder charges. Dashcam video of the shooting was recently released

University of Chicago Threat Maker Arrested

The Term "White Devils" is what the Nations of Islam leader Farrakhan calls white people. so we can tell where he got his training.

I am wondering why no photo's of the guy.

and of course his threats are just ramblings and he never meant it
U. of C. Shooting Threat 'Stupid' But Not Sincere, Family of Suspect Says
Watch this guy get away with it while all the white boys who did the same are in prison for it.

Clearly, he is an isolated case, crazy and not at all incited by hateful rhetoric. Really, we may never know what actually provoked his outburst.

Yes indeed, this fellows threats were stupid from start to finish. You know what else is stupid?

Fanning the flames with idol and incendiary rhetoric. But, alas, by all likelihood, you will get away with it.

How do we know the person is black? It's not a leap but couldn't it also be someone of any ethnicity perpetrating a hoax? They haven't said much other than someone was arrested for making the threat. Hoax or not it's still a crime to make threats like that. Also black people don't get away with any crime. That's silly.

He won't get away with it (the guy who made the threats), but the media will more or less ignore it because it doesn't fit the narrative. In that sense, he will get away with it. Hence, he is a lone crazy and not in any way shaped by the rhetoric of BLM and their chants of "pigs in a blanket, fry 'em like bacon!"

A 21 years-old doesn't understand the seriousness of a mass shooting threat? He's an Engineering student, so I'm sure he's not stupid. I'm sure he's well aware of all the mass shootings that have occurred in the United States. If you're going to be that ignorant to post a mass shooting threat, you deserve to receive whatever the justice system dishes out. To give this young man a pass on a "stupid mistake" will send a message to others there's no consequences for doing the same thing.

Yeah, I don't see how he could. They should throw the book at him, write another one and throw that one at him too. Whether or not the media jumps on it is still to be seen. However you are probably correct in that the 'lone crazy' is the go to conclusion for all this kind of behavior that is shaped by larger social forces, black, white and across the board.

He is.

Dean, who is black, was arrested Monday morning. He did not enter a plea later in the day on a charge of transmitting a threat in interstate commerce in court. Source

I think it is safe to assume that this arrest would be a much bigger national story if the offender were a white male. We would probably already have his name and photo.

Especially if there was any evidence he was a conservative christian.

Sadly this thread will not garner as much attention, will be placated by sympathizers and im afraid will fall away from the "recent" tab......

Want to see the REAL agenda? This thing was all over the news, watch it fall off the radar now that the guy has been identified

"nothing to see here"

This does not fit the narrative the media , BLM and people like Farrakhan want to be pushed.

And watch sympathizers make excuses while simultaneously on other threads doing the exact opposite

No sympathy for this dude and he'll probably not be slapped on the wrist either, nor should he be.

Why? The four guys who shot protesters were formally charged today yet that got just a few MSM sources reporting on it.

What do you mean, placated. And sympathizers? People who sympathize with morons who make violent threats while presenting the time and place of their future crime? I"m searching up and down the thread for anyone, ANYONE who is sympathizing with this fool. Hey here's an idea, lets point them out then tar and feather them and string em up for sympathizing. Gosh Batman, we all could save this thread from oblivion yet.

He's black. He's been caught. He was clearly angry at the shooting of Laquan McDonald (hence the 16 white male students and staff — one for each police bullet that killed Laquan), a killing for which Chicago cop Jason Van Dyke was charged with first-degree murder.

He made a threat but didn't actually do it. Threats like this should always be taken seriously and were.

"Prosecutors have determined that Dean had no means with which to carry out his threat and will be released on bond," tweeted Tribune reporter Jason Meisner. Dean will be held until December 1 when bail conditions can be sorted out.

And according to a press release from the Justice Department, he is being charged with transmitting a threat in interstate commerce. If found guilty, he could face up to five years in federal prison.

Any questions? No apparent secrets here.

No worries. I needed to find a local one as the big news outlets did not say.

He made threats. He didn't actually do anything.

Would he have? We'll never know, thankfully.

No one got hurt. Threat alleviated. He'll spend some time in the klink.

...and I really don't care if it makes the news, or not.

I voted Obama(the first time, Gary Johnson last time). I've been full on liberal and probably my favorite candidate initially was Bernie Sanders. My hero and how I found this site was Ron Paul, but I'm really sick of this #. Racism isn't a 1 way street. BLM is racist, this guy is a racist, I'm sure a lot of cops are racist but this is insane. It's not only detrimental to white people to get the blame for everything wrong in the world, but it's detrimental to everyone that we can't have an honest conversation cause everything has to be framed through racism, which only 1 group of people can apparently be held accountable for.

They usually don't unless the race is white on anything. They often won't include much on race even when there is a picture of the suspects and it's obvious. The media is afraid of being accused of racism just as much as any other institution even if the fact is the fact.

It is also time for finals, and EE finals (even for a freshman) can crack the best of them.

If he agrees to get psychological treatment he will probably get a reduced sentence as well.

This is a sad story, he had a shot at a bright future and now that is most likely gone. At least no one was injured.
