I've never heard anyone credible ever make a claim like this. Life did not and could not evolve from chemicals and nonbiological elements. I have never read a peer reviewed article claiming otherwise!

I have heard time and time again that a rock was hit by lightning or ancient aliens came and seeded life or engineered it... Silly science! Haha! I have never seen a credible peer reviewed research paper that has made this claim. I don't know where you're getting this from

Here is one of some hundreds of Journals I found.

The Journal was started in 1972, currently (1st half of 2009) it is in its 56th volume. The current editors are David Begun, Mark Teaford, and Steven Leigh. Publications in the journal are on Physical Anthropology, Palaeolithic Archaeology, Primatology, Geochronology and Palaeoecology.

I have never heard a scientist who is credible mention ancient aliens as a theory or hypothesis.

When it comes to spontaneous creation vs random seeding by meteors, well the second option seems more logical because there is an abundance of interstellar objects that have water and amino acids. So yeah, it makes sense you won't find any scientist arguing for spontaneous creation anymore.

The only person talking about evolving from primordial soup is you so I'm not sure where any of this comes from. Evolution has nothing to do with how life began, how difficult is that to understand? It's a hypothesis. This means it's a possibility that is still being run through its paces. It does t mean they its a part of Modern Evolutionary Synthesis in any way, shape or form. Please read what the theory actually states before inserting foot in mouth. You don't need to believe it, but you should at least understand what you're mocking so you can do it properly.

Yikes! You guys believe we evolved from meteors? Maybe some fairy dust to help it along! Haha

Just admit it. Evolution is silly science. smh

Which is more likely:

A). chemicals were brought by meteor to earth and via temperature changes/lightning/geological activity and other natural stuff occurring, these chemicals started coming together (broad-based view of the subject..someone else could shed more light)

B). magical being that is both everywhere and nowhere creates man and woman either from clay at the same time or man first then woman from man's rib

Even if the first seems extraordinary, it is based on observation. I find it funny that creationists talk about the science being so incredible they can't believe it - but they are more than happy to believe in magic.

Haha! I am loving this thread. If people want to believe in magic rocks and chemicals that evolved into monkeys and that ancient aliens altered DNA to evolve the human race... Why would you argue against that. Just sit back and enjoy!

LMAO!

You are not a chemist, nor do you have any type of science degree. It is painfully obvious from your complete lack of understanding of basic scientific terminology (hypothesis vs theory vs law), and the fact that you won't give any details whatsoever into your perspective, just keep repeating catch phrases that have nothing to do with it.

Why are creationists so dishonest? It doesn't help your cause to lie about scientific credentials and education when it's obvious you have neither. Nobody has given up on abiogenesis. Where do you get your info?

Nah, we were seeded by Xenu! Haha! Not really. I didn't realize people still believe that we evolved from Primordial Soup! Evolution is silly science. Adoptation- that's science!

Soo... when are you going to actually address evolution instead of straw mans? Honest creationists are very rare indeed. You fight science tooth and nail about everything, know nothing about it, yet believe ancient texts as absolute literal truth... But you are the one laughing at everyone else over a VERIFIED SCIENTIFIC FACT like evolution. Too funny. You guys always try, I have to give you that, but the lies always get exposed quickly when the sciences starts to get discussed. Do you not realize you are only hurting your cause by lying and pretending to have a science degree?

Just admit it. Evolution is silly science. smh

Yeah, it's totally silly. A magical entity creating man from dirt and all life on the planet in 6 days is far more rational. A so called loving god creating hell (a torture chamber), and then needing to incarnate himself into a man just to suffer and die to save people's souls from going to the torturous place HE CREATED. THAT is logical. LMFAO!

You quoted me but you must have me mixed up with someone else on the thread. I never brought up creationism, I do not believe in magic rocks being hit by lightning to create life, I do not believe in ancient aliens, evolution, A chemical reaction resulting in some type of primitive life, or that we evolved from meteors and fairy dust... or other silliness. Contrary to your claim science will back me up on all these counts. You will not find one successful experiment creating life from non-biological or organic elements. But who knows, maybe Xenu will come back at set me straight... Doubt it. But keep the faith bro.

Or perhaps instead of a pet rock you should entertain the notion of an education. It would serve you much better.

Thank you for simplifying things down about as far it is possible to get. No, that is not what we are saying, at all, in any way shape or form. But then I guess that you have no wish to move from your heavily entrenched position. How very sad, that you are unwilling to open your mind and learn something.

You got me, it's all true. I do not Believe that non organic elements can evolve. My mind must be closed...??? Haha. But believing in rocks as our Great ancestors, or meteorites- that's completely rational. Smh

No, I'm saying an education would benefit you because you think that abiogenesis is a part of evolution and despite the incorrectness of that statement being pointed out you persist in repeating the lie. Nobody claims that meteorites evolved into people do you have to be trolling. Maybe you could go get that chemistry degree you always dreamed about?

1. I have not mixed up anything. You lied about having an education in science to further a creationist agenda. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out.

2. I don't know anybody that believes in magic rocks, fairy dust or other silliness you are describing. I don't know any scientists that claim abiogenesis or the origin of life has been proven. It's a work in progress, a hypothesis. Evolution is a scientific theory and scientific theories are based on fact.

3. Science will not back you in anything you have just said because you are using straw mans to attack evolution, rather than actually giving examples of where the science is wrong. You can't say that evolution is wrong because abiogenesis isn't proven yet. That's nonsensical. Evolution stands on its own merit.

4. The origin of life is not evolution. Anybody that knows anything about the basic fundamentals of science knows that. Somebody that has a science degree yet claims something so far fetched is flat out laughable. It's also hilarious that despite numerous people correcting your faulty understanding of the scientific terminology AND the FACT that abiogenesis and evolution are separate areas of research, you keep repeating it over and over again.

I bet you cannot find a single person that actually believes rocks are our great ancestors. Kent Hovind? Is that you? Let's all just talk in nonsensical riddles and make fun of anybody who agrees with science.

Do you really believe that we thought for one second you had a science degree?

Do you really believe that evolution includes the origin of life?

Somebody's been duped!

You have answered the question in the OP however, quite thoroughly:

No, you have never read a book or single scientific research paper on evolution. Thanks for playing and yes, keep attacking something you know nothing about. That's how things get done, arguing via ignorance.

You haven't even brought up evolution ONCE. You have avoided the topic like the plague and attacked it via straw mans. At least you live up to your name. Although I have to admit, it was amusing when you pretended to be a scientist and then ranted about things that have nothing to do with evolution.

Evolution = genetic mutations sorted by natural selection. It has nothing to do with asteroids, meteors, magic rocks, fairy dust, abiogenesis or panspermia. If you aren't talking about genetic mutations and natural selection you aren't talking about MES, which makes your entire argument completely invalid.

*Awaits the next post where the guy ignores everything in the post and then repeats previous claim in a condescending manner*

BTW, if you are actually a troll pretending to be a creationist, you have nailed it. Bravo.

Nah, Evolution does not explain the reorganization of information (genetic or otherwise) to produce a new feature or species. There is no biological mechanism for this to take place. This is why we do not see evolution past or present.

So, let me get this straight - you think the more logical conclusion is that a magic being created it all? I guess that is why they call it "a leap of faith" - because you have to jump from the bridge of logic.
