Did not see this posted previously, but thought it was interesting.
This was on CNN the other day as well as ArtAlienTV and TechTimes, and shows what looks like a huge mouse.
Most likely an optical illusion but you gotta admit it looks like a mouse.

NASA has unveiled the latest batch of photographs from Mars Gale Crater, captured by the Curiosity Rover using its Navigational Cameras. The image that is getting much attention on social media, however, is the one from the spacecraft's Mast Cameras, which shows a figure that resembles a mouse.

It could be a rock. It could be a small rodent -like creature, long dead, uncovered by a storm that had been preserved.

Mars once had oceans. I am not sure why the insistence to call every last image a rock.

Try posting this to another sight saying it is a possible image of a rare mouse thought extinct taken in the sahara, see how many people suddenly and mysteriously DON'T see a rock then.

I think this is cool even if it is just a rock but then is it as the sceptics are relying merely on the fact it is on mars to deny that it could be anything other than a rock but I have to say that it does look very much like a rodent to me though I do doubt that it is for a number of reasons (Still it is not the only mouse or rodent so compare the other's and see if there are shared features) such as the guessed at physiology for the shape using earth rodent's and rodent like primitive animals as a template would suggest normal lung's etc and we know the atmosphere is low oxygen so it would have to have a very different internal physiology, still it does not have to be the same and indeed it could be an ancient mummified fossil of something though only if it was recently exposed or else it would soon be eroded away even on mars and the chances of a recently exposed fossil of such perfect preservation are astronomically against.

I can't help but get flashback's to old tom and jerry cartoons with there politically incorrect afro American housemaid standing on a chair screaming for tom to get the mouse and constantly hitting tome with the broom by mistake so it definitely does bring mouse to mind when I see it, nice spotting.

Did you, because if you didn't then how do you know it isn't a rock?

That looks, from the angle, remarkably like a mouse.

Of course it's a rock. It also looks like a mouse. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Just to get philosophical and quote rumi

I died as a mineral and became a plant,
I died as plant and rose to animal,
I died as animal and I was Man.
Why should I fear? When was I less by dying?
Yet once more I shall die as Man, to soar
With angels bless’d; but even from angelhood
I must pass on: all except God doth perish.
When I have sacrificed my angel-soul,
I shall become what no mind e’er conceived.
Oh, let me not exist! for Non-existence
Proclaims in organ tones,
To Him we shall return.

I first read that in a book called "The Animals that govern us" which was a collection of cartoon's lampooning famous figures and world leaders in the 1980's by some fantastic French artists but I got this translation from this web page.
religionandmore.wordpress.com...

After all even living organisms are made up of inanimate matter that is only motivate by life itself, call it chemical reaction if you wish but it is something far more than that as after all the rule's of thermodynamics suggest that water can not flow up hill let life goes against those rule's.
