Volunteers

I don't think there is many wrong reasons to volunteer. Especially abroad in third world countries. It's not cheap to do so. Unfortunately, we live in an era that egotism is an acceptable part of our culture. If someones motivated to volunteer through self-serving means, the cause still benefits. There's also many that promote their philamprothy not for self-recognition but to educate others about the charity. It also show where donations are being put to work. I'm involved in animal rescue and I'm always letting everyone know about the animal(s) I am working with. It "humanizes" them and make finding homes for them much easier. It also legitimizes the rescue the animals are receiving care from.

Do not thank me... We do this because someone has to.... And we need all kinds and ages of people with all types of abilities... Even no abilities.....
