Blaming it on weed? Not at all likely.
There was a study done that showed a correlative relationship between psychosis and heavy skunk use, not necessarily a causative one. The research was
unable to show much more than that heavy users of the more potent forms of marijuana (skunk) tended to have weaker brain architecture between the
right and left hemispheres of the brain making them more likely to suffer psychosis. They were unable to determine if this was a side effect of the
heavy usage of weed or simply a correlative relationship in that such people tended to seek out the weed to help them cope.
So, no, not blaming it on weed. Not enough information to do so, only pointing out that the legal weed might be pulling this kind of person into the
state.
It would be interesting to track anyhow.
