China will join the war on ISIS after four of its citizens were killed by Islamist terror groups in two separate attacks last week.

The vow comes after ISIS claimed to have killed Beijing man Fan Jinghui, 50, alongside Norwegian national Ole Johan Grimsgaard-Ofstad, 48, who were feared to have been taken hostage in September.

Chinese President Xi Jinping: "China will strengthen cooperation with the international community, resolutely crack down on violent terrorist operations that devastate innocent lives and safeguard world peace and security."

Chin a declares war on ISIS after terrorists claim to have executed Chinese hostage

Looks like china will now be officialy entering the fray.

To what extent who knows?

But if the UN votes for joint action now I dont see anyone useing there veto power unless its the USA.
France will be in, Russia in, China now, UK will be in. So that just leaves the US of A and were they will stand.

You have to give ISIS one thing, they keep there foreign policy very simple. War with everyone. Bet they save a fortune on Embassy costs!

Cant see them surviving if they piss off the entire world.

Which leaves the queations who is suppprting them? And we all know that...the Saudis!

I am not sure China can support a military campaign so far from home, nor whether they will have any support from Arab and Middle Eastern nations.

What China will almost certainly do though is use this as an excuse to further repress the Muslims within their own borders.

I think the important factor he is they likely wont veto any UN proposals against ISIS.

If ISiS have made the mistake of pissing off all five permanent security council members the UN will get (temporarily at least) some teeth and you get intervention like yugoslavia or seira Leone.

The whole damn world against a small radical group and they still can't prevent #.
Nope, nothing wrong here.

People aren't calling it a WW3 but you gotta ask, which major nation isn't involved about now?

great, now 3 superpowers, among many others, fight ISIS.
does anyone really think, ISIS will be stopped?
no, because they need the terrorists to unite the world, disarm the people and install total surveillance.

20 years ago a group like ISIS would have been squashed like a bug in a matter of weeks.

it's really a comedy.

and meanwhile ISIS oil trade and ISIS banks are doing pretty good.

In today's precious snowflake politically correct "my feelings are more important than facts" western kardashian Hollyweird culture, we have lost our ability to mete out the fear of God - type death to ISIS scum.

This has been uncomfortably proven for all the world to see by way of Russia doing in one week what NATO couldn't do in 2 years.

You see, China, like Russia, has an appalling human rights track record inasfar that it is also uncomfortably convenient for the west in regards to these countries dealing with ISIS the only way they know how. In saying that, I cannot wait for the day that Israel joins the party because they sure as hell take being punched in the proverbial nose very seriously too.

I just hope that when China joins the party they don't use any weapons or equipment "made in China", because, you know, it'll break pretty much as soon as its unwrapped.

Maybe if China gets ISIS prisoners they can send them to the new land in the south China sea and once the place is full of ISIS's, bomb it.

Oh I would give you an applaud for that if I could

That is so accurate

Pretty bad when people can no longer call things by their proper name much less talk about it, for fear the PC Police coming to get them

The Race card usually comes out first, that is quick way to get people to shut up

So can we now officially call this the start of a World War 3 ?

It's all strange this "declaring war" from all the power house nations

While not WW3 per se, stuffing a bunch a egocentric/maniacal pot bellies into a small room (where bacon isn't allowed, lol), and expecting them to play nice is wishful thinking.

Maybe ISIS is the destabilising factor that will bring about the Islamic countries into an agreed caliphate.

caliphate, news

Biblically will be the seat of the Anti-Christ but the Muslims Messiah, which brings us to complete destruction.

If it does bring about the unification of the renewed Ottoman empire, keep an eye on what happens to and in Israel.

Although China may well be able to hold off on military intervention in the short term, both Yuan and Xie said closer links by Chinese citizens with foreign countries may well force it to reconsider its approach.

Xie was also said....
"I think the Chinese government is not ready and nor are the Chinese people," says Xie.

This could get out (far out) of hand real fast... I believe the end of Dec Jan beginning will be a reflection of years, decades of turmoil and the head will be big & ugly... it's is, as the millinials say..... It just got real Bra.......

Maybe they want operational experience in bombing the Middle Ages back to the Stone Age, but I think @paraphi hit the nail on the head.

I understood though that the Chinese were there already but now they can send 100,000 troops to clean house and claim a stake in the rebuilding of Syria which is great for them as its a base close to Europe and 2 fingers up at Uncle Sam via NATO.

So China are in now are they? I can't understand a couple of things:

1) Given IS have so much against them, why haven't they been stopped already?
2) Given IS have so much against them, why are they still goading powers into war with them?

Maybe I'm just niaive and stupid.

ISIS is a fledgling enterprise of a Caliphate which is tarnished/corrupted by the western central planners bein instrumental in the IS blossoming

the real Caliphate army will arise after Turkey makes Greece merge into the final empire seat-of-authority
isis is just a precursor type of minor caliphate (the necessary white horse of the Tetrad for Prophecy's sake) from which the end-time global Caliphate will emerge

I am not being cryptic, the IS/ISIS Army & Caliph al-Baghdadi (Ibrahim) were the product/outward sign of the 1st blood moon in April 2014 which began the end-times series of '4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse' era of 2014-2015 predicted in Revelation eschatology

The 'seat' is in that part of Turkey which is anciently associated with the Greek Empire, so ISIS is not the finalized global Caliphate army but only a militarized cretin grown in the Iraq-Syrian wastes which is a hybrid mix of E & W glorified destruction entity
