It's misleading to say we can only speak about society in general terms. In reality we can (do) understand ouselves beyond the confinement of words. This holds true for people alive today as well those written about in our history books.

There is a hidden unbroken chain , an idea ... a way of seeing which so very often is in opposition to state and church ...

They transcended to humans before the bible was written. They traveled to the moon and the stars, without their physical bodies. They were called enlightened cause they embraced nature in a different way than the rest they learned more from animals then their own mistakes.. They built the foundation of the world from which we stand in, by just looking at nature in all its glory..
Is it right or wrong? I dont know, but i know these are my ancestors..
