I am sure many here on ATS have heard of Rick Simpson. This thread is more for those those that have not heard of him. He himself had skin cancer and it was not going so well.

Well it worked and he got himself better. Since then he has been on a quest to help people with cancer and other illness and claims to have healed some 5000 people.

He has got himself on the wrong side of the law for this many times.

In order to supply fresh raw ingredients for his hemp oil, Rick soon started growing marijuana, but his field was raided four times in three years by the police. People who publicly claim to cure cancer are threatened 5-40-year imprisonment, according to laws in North America.

He thinks it is never too late to start treatment and his biggest goal is to live in a world cancer free.

He states that hemp or cannabis oil can cure a vast variety of serious health issues, like diabetes, arteriosclerosis, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, asthma, psoriasis, as well as some of the deadliest forms of cancer

I'm a believer. Suffering from a lifetime of harsh migraines. A local cannabis expert recommend I try a tincture. Have been migraine (as well as sickest flu even a cold) free for 1.5 yrs

Very glad you found something to help you. Never tried tincture will have a look at it now. I enjoy learning my plants and making creams and ointments and stuff like that. There are a lot of powerful things underfoot if we look.

I first tried the edibles, but the liquid is much faster acting. I have found it cures most ailments, arthritis. Stomach pain, etc.

Studying my American Indian heritage, seems as though my ancestors knew much more about this than modern day physician's..

This stuff really works. Endocannabinoids possess so many healing properties. CBD is one cannabinoid that doesn't give you the "high" effect, but does cause the sensation to be hungry. Because it doesn't have the "high" effect, it can be given to pets and children/infants.

Cannabis treatments are also very effective for epilepsy!!!

You can't cure arthritis, it's a degeneration of tissue from physical use, and it's a disease that by time you hit 80+ years old 100% of the population has it somewhere in the body.

I am not trying to attack the stuff, it's great for pain relief and in some cases can help with the healing process and reverse some diseases, but there is more to it than just injecting some sort of oil into your body. It's not like quinine and malaria. Cancer is something completely different.

The stigma surrounding this "miracle in progress" needs to end. We all have the potential to grow and prepare our own health insurance, but most of us prefer to put our health into the hands of someone we "trust". It is time to restore faith in ourselves and our responsibility to question authority.

I dont think it a magic all cure for aliments and I agree 'cure'might be the wrong word. That being said that people it does seem to help a lot of people.

Really I just wanted to share for people that are sick to show them theres other ways...

Did not release you could use it on pets. I find it hard to find information on treating animals with herbs.

how else can you take it do you drink it for internal ailments and how much should you take?

I believe cannibas can heal most things...but when it comes to cancer I don't believe it "cures" it...rather it minimises the symptoms. The cancer disposition will remain intact on a genetic level and may occur in some other form at a later date.

It's undeniable it's healing properties but still in terms of curing cancer we are a bit off.

Problem with this type of treatment is the severe lack of funding and study because of its "illegal drug" status. I find that when I look for answers, the mega-corporations always have studies funded to negate the true properties of the plant.

Unfortunately we live in a time where we value money over life and it is going to usher in complete dependence on pharmaceuticals instead of nature....which will inevitably make us dependent on a system rather than ourselves.

If there is any treatment that can be helpful in eliminating the use of synthetic chemicals to "ease" ailments....I am all for it. Especially if it is cheap, can easily be made and used at home, and potentially life-saving.

Of course money comes first though, right?

Some arthritis is cause by an overactive immune system. I know people who got arthritis in their twenties or thirties due to an unrelated infection, but the immune system started attacking their bone joints. Some treatments include painkillers (just to relieve the pain), anti-inflammatory drugs (to reduce swelling, immune system reaction). Maybe the oils help to reduce the friction between bones? Surgical treatments include replacing the bone joints themselves, but even titanium or stainless steel implants wear out.

Medical science is just beginning to recognize the many many healing and curative properties of cannabis and its cannabinoids. Cannabis can fight infections of all kinds -- MRSAs, Lyme Disease, HIV/AIDS, etc. I've just recently learned of the powerful antimicrobial/antiseptic/antibacterial properties of cannabis. This has been known since the 1950s; but it's only more recent research that has shown that these cannabinoids are the key to activating our immune system in various ways via the endocannabinoid receptors. For too long, our draconian federal laws have prevented research on these cannabinoids. That's finally changing.

That's the good news... the bad news is that Big Pharma is working double-time to find a way to synthesize and patent these healing gifts of nature. Folks like Rick Simpson who are working to empower us to take care of ourselves are truly blessings to the rest of us.

You can't read a paper from 100 years ago without seeing an ad for Cannabis.

It was the miracle cure then. The main reason they made it illegal.

You do not inject cannabis oil!

There is a whole load of ways to take it, smoking, ingesting, rubbing into skin like an ointment

I've said this in another thread about when my nan had bowle cancer and was receiving treatment for it the only thing that helped her feel better was smoking a doobie with me and my cousin!! Just wished she started sooner because there's nothing worse than seeing someone you love so much suffer!! No one shoul have to go through that!!

Honestly, I would wager some drug companies are already selling synthetic cannabinoids under an unrelated name. I mean, they have known many cannabis properties for 50years..why not? I really hope that is not the case however.

Also, i am curious as to the laws on CBD?
In my state at some gas stations they sell CBD infused e liquid. And you only have to be 18 to buy it?
