As many of you know I am MUSLIM . I have been on these boards for some time continually trying to educate people on Islam and extremism . between battling with all the lies and misquoted scripture from bias anti Islam sources being regurgitated here, I must say it's starting to take a toll on my emotions .

I would like to tell you that we are Speaking out against terrorism and extremsim . I see it on FB , I hear it when I go pray at the masjid everyday. The only place i don't see it or hear it is the MSM.

I have been a student in Islamic studies for some time. Namley islamic law and hadith. I am an American convert . It took me about 3 years to really underatand the very basics of this religion . So I try to keep that in mind when dealing with people who think they are Islamic scholars on ATS . I also understand how barbaric this religion can seem to people who don't understand it.

So its important to pass on knowlege that is correct . otherwise it can be distorted or misinterpreted this is why I struggle at times to find information. Most of the leading scholars speak only Arabic so finding translations is hard, thats another reason why people don't " see us speaking out"

I want to take this time to Thank SO for his thread on the Muslim bashing going on at ATS.
www.abovetopsecret.com...
I also want to reassure the members that they have every right to be mad and upset at these terrorist. They are pure evil scum. But please know that they are not of Islam, They are of something evil. They're actions take them way outside the folds of Islam.

As I have stated before their are 1.5 billion muslims in this world . extremist make up a small percent of that .

I don't want to drag this thread on. I can go on about it for years .

But I want to assure u WE ARE SPEAKING OUT .
www.islamagainstextremism.com...

My question to you is what can we do to be heard ?

Kap.

It truly is a sad state that we're in. Unfortunately, I would keep doing what you're doing and stay strong. Keep speaking out and standing up for your rights and beliefs as a human being. Stay strong, Kapusta

Glad to see you denounce that barbaric acts. I would have never blamed you for being one of the bad guys.

I would like to see fewer Muslims say that ISIS are NOT Muslim though. I don't claim to be an Islamic scholar, I am far from it. But when I hear the shouts of 'Allah Akbar' from a crowd while a person with a knife saws the head off of a 'non-believer', it kind of makes me think that those shouting might be Muslims.

I have to say that I have massive respect for you as a Muslim member on this site, it must be so heartbreaking for you to read some of the comments on these boards and the ignorance many on ATS have towards your faith. I think it truly shows how strong your charter, patience and faith is that you can hold your tong in so many of the threads on ATS.

Speak up. Post it on every MSM site. Be the representative for the Muslim community if need be.
Organize a day with your Mosque to have people come in and take part in prayer or to just listen to whats being taught. Host a Ask Me Anything with people.
Just get the word out.

Do you think that converting to Islam is the same as being born and raised with islam?

How can anyone who reads this be sure? Words come easy and words are cheap.

How do you feel about women? Is a woman equal to a man? Should she have the same legal rights?

How do you feel about gay and transgender people? Is it ok for them to practise that and you promise you will tolerate them?

Regarding Law and punishment: Are you happy to live in a land who's laws are different to yours, who are more lenient and do not practise capital punishment and amputation of limbs? Can you promise not to interfere with that and that you will not slowly try to make our laws fit with your religion?

Do you mind me being a believer in Christ and that I do not think your prophet is a prophet. I do not mind that you think he is a prophet, but I do not. Are you ok with that? Can you promise not to take violent action out on me now or in the future?

I will not inundate you with any other questions, but these are my biggest concerns about you. If you can answer that you will not hurt me regarding all the above then welcome. You can come live next door!

My question to you is what can we do to be heard ?

Unfortunately in the Middle East, a moderate muslim is not able to do very much to be heard. In countries like Saudi Arabia and Qatar citizens who try and stand up to the regimes and call for democratic rights are regularly imprisoned and sentenced with lashings.

In Saudi, even teaching Islam that does not conform to the House of Saud's interpretation is often considered illegal and individuals are routinely prosecuted for it. Without political freedoms it is impossible to expect religious freedom. And when the state is religiously extreme, as in Saudi Arabia and Iran, it is impossible to imagine moderate Muslims having the freedom to promote a tolerant view of Islam.

For decades now, Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries have been supporting and funding the spread of Wahhabism.

In the Quran, and in all its traditional interpretations, Muslims are instructed to be tolerant towards all people especially those who believe in the one God -- particularly Jews and Christians who are called kitabi or 'people of the book.' The Quran also states that only God will decide between the believers and non-believers (atheist, polytheists, and others) on the Day of Judgment on who may enter paradise. Perhaps someone needs to type this on leaflets and drop them on the Daesh strongholds to let those terrorist know they are not doing anything in the name of Allah.

Seems to me that a bulk of the Muslim problems are coming from Saudi Arabia and its insistence on spreading the Wahhabism view of Islam. Perhaps if Saudi Arabia never had so much oil that the West depended upon, then we would not have the issues that face us today. IMHO we are not looking at the root cause of these troubles and in my view that would be Saudi Arabia has been given too much rope to hang itself due to being such an oil rich country and being allowed to do as it pleased by the west.

When will it all end? Well Saudi Arabia still has 265.40 Billion Barrels of oil left and at its current rate of extraction, enough to last another 81 years according to these stats

I am sorry but"speaking out" is not enough.. The "good Muslims" have been speaking out for decades defending islam.

its time to eradicate the bad ones before you go down with them..

I felt the need as well as a member of this community and as an American citizen to voice my support to you, and to the battle against Islamiphobia as a whole.

Not only will we defeat extremists who use distorted Islam as a tool for hatred against the West but WE WILL defeat those who lie about Islam in order to wage war against Islam itself.

You have support, my friend. Great support.

Without delving into a debate about saudi politics . i respectfully disagree with you.

I am what you would consider a "whabi" i am a more conservative Muslim.

While i agree factions within KSA do do fund extremist groups i don't believe the KSA government does . This conclusion was drawn from hrs of my own research.

Also keep in mind that the US and outher allied country's
Also fund extremist.

Protesting in a Sharia ruled land can carry a punishment no doubt , if it turns violent .

But i am talking about speaking out not Protesting. A peaceful measure. Reaching out ,being heard , educating, how can we do that?

So much death. Why is death the answer for you?

How does that set you appart from them?

A differing solution needs to be in order. But what is the solution.

Islamic State have killed a lot of Muslims too. They are the enemy of all good people everywhere.

The recent events in Paris seem to have drawn out the people who i suspect were racist anyway but reluctant to air there views, i have grown sick of seeing the hateful comments on sites such as FB.

All i can say to you is please stay strong and please don't lose faith that the nice and good people are out there, i refuse to believe that all muslims are evil no matter what the media channels tell me.

Strength and honour brother.

My question to you is, What can we do to be heard ?

Have good muslims actually fight and kill the radical muslims. (you asked, and respectfully, this is my answer)

Make a Bold Statement Such as: Good Muslims Go Fight Back for Their Land Against the Radical Muslims?

Sitting around and praying for a better outcome just won't cut it anymore. Calling yourself scared from the islamicphobic culture rising around you just makes your religion look scared & lazy, having Russia bombard them, France taking immediate action, and US being ish about it...Your religion looks weak (And i know this is also in part of the MSM not bring to light the efforts of the good Muslims).... (this also goes for any religion) It's just now your religion is in the spot light. And your religion is bombarding the world.

And i know there is a lot of flaws in my answer, but this is just a simple answer to a complex situation that goes deeper than we all know.

It's like you said, these people are evil and do not follow the Islamic religion. Love is the answer, but your asking what you can do to be heard....Well after the dust settles from the bombs, then Love, Healing can begin.

Regards,

SK

Here we go....

For starters, doesn't really matter if muslims are speaking out because we'd need to repeat it over and over again since it seems to be falling in def ears.

Daesh/Isis is a cancer, so is salafism/Wahabiism.

Women are definitely equals to men, just like Islam teaches it.
A man and a woman complete each other.
The concept of lapidation in Christianity is directed towards women, in Islam it is directed to both men and women, which is equally wrong and horrific, but needs to be understood that its not directed to women.

Your bible denounces homosexuality as much as the Quran or even Buddhism... it's not just an Muslim intolerance.
As a secular Muslim, I respect and love every human beings, women, gay, transgender, ...

There is not a huge difference between religions, in my opinion.

We basically all want to be happy, prosper and love.

You have your religion and I have mine. Let's just respect each other since we have to share this space we have.

I love being a Canadian... it's all I know and ever known.
And happy there is no capital punishment just like south of the border or like their Wahabi ally, Saudi Arabia...

i dont want anyone to die,..... But we can only take so much before we blow.. generation after generation of Muslims have had their chance to eradicate the extremism, in the name of islam , and generation after generation has failed.

Enough is enough.

That is a cop out for an answer. Is he supposed to spends hours scouring ATS to discover what you might have said in previous posts?

Besides which, this is a public forum, where more than just Revolution may be interested in your responses (myself included). Why does he have to private message you to get his answers? How about just answering right here, under the lights, in plain view, for everyone to read.

Do you have any specific thread links? I would be interested to hear your responses to thesee questions as well.

I think it is on topic, as you asked how to reach out. Well giving other some more insight and answers to these questions would be reaching out.

I follow the old Norse gods - Thor, Odin, Frey, and others. Would you be willing to let me live my life drinking Meade and ale, eating pork, etc?

I also am libertarian, so I don't support theocracy in any form. That goes for Christians, Judaism, as well as Islam. For me it comes down to if your able to live and let live without violence towards non believers. Like some have mentioned that is a lot easier to do in a westernized, non theocratic society. Would you be the same way as a majority in the population?
