TRUMP: I'd 'strongly consider' shutting down some mosques

Real-estate mogul Donald Trump said Monday that he would "strongly consider" shutting down certain mosques if he became president.

"I would hate to do it," Trump said of the notion. "But it's something that you're going to have to strongly consider."

"Because some of the ideas and some of the hatred — the absolute hatred — is coming from these areas," he added.

Bull#. Trump wouldn't hate to do it. He has no problems being as intolerant and small minded as possible. By saying he would hate to do it he is doing the equivalent of a racist person saying, "I'm not racist, I have a black friend," right before he says something utterly racist.

"It's something that many people — it's not me — it's something that many people are considering, and many people are going to do," Trump said. "The hatred is incredible. It's embedded. It's embedded. The hatred is beyond belief. The hatred is greater than anybody understands."

Dammit Trump! This is a violation of the First Amendment. Trump supporters, YOU are supporting a guy who is actively campaigning to limit the First Amendment right here. We are on a conspiracy forum, doesn't that raise any red flags to anyone else?

What ever happened to innocent 'til proven guilty.

Aren't you actually supposed to have done something, prior to punishment???

I agree that merely shutting down a mosque is unconstitutional. But, if that mosque is breeding terrorists and they can prove it, it is no longer a religious institution, but rather, a terrorist breeding camp.

You can call a duck a rabbit, but if it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck....then it's a duck.

And don't you think that the FBI would have done that if they found a mosque promoting terrorism within the country?

The attitude is that all Muslims are bad. They're bad because they're either terrorists, support terrorism, or don't fight terrorism.

Trump continues to be a bigot and people love it.

I guess he can say what he wants because the reality is, he will never become POTUS anyway.

I agree with the sentiment to a degree. If those within any Mosques are found guilty of teaching hatred, then it makes perfect sense. But, there has to be overwhelming proof that this is occurring and not just a knee jerk reaction.

Let's focus on this:

"strongly consider" shutting down certain mosques if he became president.

Certain mosques are inciting violence, pushing an agenda that is considered hate speech.

So, Trump is spot on in stating that certain mosques should be shut down.

Did you read your own source..?

Well actually,
Egypt To Shut Down 27,000 Mosques In Effort To Curb Radicalization
www.westernjournalism.com...

According to recent reports, an Egyptian court sided with President Abdel el-Sisi’s administration in its belief that mosques across the nation must be closely monitored – or closed completely – in order to put a stop to the extremist messages that have increased participation in Islamic terrorism.

About 27,000 mosques will be shuttered in coordination with the 2013 order by the Ministry of Religious Endowments recently upheld by the administrative court. The move applies specifically to small gatherings, with the ministry citing places of worship that occupy less than 861 square feet as its primary target. These will include not only proper mosques, but informal gathering places, as well.

Which mosques are these? Last I checked we don't get many Muslim terrorist attacks within our borders.

In the U.K we are told that there are several Mosques where hatred of western life is taught. I have not heard of any Mosques being closed though, despite the rhetoric from the Government in the last 6 months.

Remember too, Trump was the one offering to buy the real estate at Ground Zero, to prevent the Muslim Complex from being built there.

~~~~~~~~~Not to be a hypocrite, I wasn't crazy about the idea myself.
Oh I know this. Notice how everyone is defending his words instead of lamenting his attack on the First Amendment? I guess when terrorists are involved, rights go out the window and aren't important.
