Surely I'm not the only one to have noticed the new uploading pic stuff going on, right? I can now take a pic, use one from photo library, or iCloud, and there is a more option. Problem is, from camera roll I get an "only image files can be used" pop up. Erm, it is an image file.... Moving on to just take the stupid pic, I get all the way through upload, and poof, it never appears. It goes through all the motions, but no little picture icon to copy the link stuff from.

What am I doing wrong? I'd screen shot it for you, but...

p.s. Running on an iPad Air 2 with the latest updates.

If the picture is a JPEG instead of a JPG it won't recognize it as an image file. It has to be a JPG. And if it's too large it will upload it but it won't appear in your library.

Any chance you know what an iPad takes pics in? I took the pic and turned right around to upload it to a thread.

I got a pic to upload from my photo stream from iPhone, so now I'm boggled.

I've had exactly the same thing, also iPad. Can't use anything from photos, but I can take a pic to upload. I can't upload anything I already have the pic of.

THanks, I didn't know about the size thing.

Even Windows has made 3 letter extensions obsolete.

That's a crackup...

I've been looking for a free image file converter to convert jpeg to jpg. Can't find one. Any ideas? iPad saves as jpeg, so most pics cannot be uploaded

Unless ATS is fixing the issue???

I open it in paint and then save it to a different format.

Found a paint program. The image converter wanted to save to Dropbox or cloud, not to iPad directly, and I'm not on wifi so it was being glitchy...

Will need to play a bit to get used to it. iPad seems to save everything as large....

Thanks guys.

I think I'll just try to upload from my phone for now. Back in the old school ATS days I would use tinypic, but it is just an extra step this lazy person doesn't want to use. I was so excited when ATS started the new way of doing it, and it worked great for awhile.

Doodle, The paint program that comes built into Windows is the one I use. If its too large I just open click resize and then take it to 50%. Paint does the work and I click save. Good luck to ya!
