Ah, I dont really know the difference. I'm thinking I might take some time to figure out how to do them myself.

Another fun piece by the same youtuber.

Doyou know what the means when looking at the workshops tab? sometimes it doesn't go away when I address the concern (food, power, etc).

I will check it out when I play next, not sure of the top my head.

Its ringing a bell, but I just cant pin down what it is without actually seeing in game.

Since you say its concerning food, power. It might be that you haven't assigned a person to pick the food or man the guard stations or haven't hooked up the power to the required things like the water purifier using wires?

If that's it, when you have your workshop open you highlight a person in your settlement to give them a command.

Select the person and then go to the food you planted and you should be able to assign them to the food, or assign them at a guard station, etc.

For the wiring, when you build a water purifier and have a generator close by when you highlight one or the other you should have an option to attach wire, you can stretch wire only so far, you might need build a power pole of sorts and attach wire to it and then another wire to the generator or whatever needs a wire attached to it.

If you cant select attach wire it means you need copper.

If not, I will get back to you if I have any more suggestions after playing.

And silly question, how do i get it so that my settlements are linked in the workshops? I'm tired of having to fast travel to sanctuary lol.

Not silly at all,

As far as know, Each settlement is separate concerning your workshop, they cannot be linked as far as I know.

So it comes down to stocking each one with what you require.

Its a pain, I was hoping they would be linked but so far my experience is each is its own and needs to be stocked.

I believe one of the messages or tips you get either when the game is loading or when you first use your work shop it tells you that each settlements workstations are not linked or it tells you that all the workshop station in a settlement, like your weapons bench, cooking station, chem station are linked.

I am not 100% sure that you cant link them but so far I haven't read anything online and my experience is that you need stock each with the junk/goodies you need to build.

It's also doing it for security, which is kinda messed up, cause I don't use the guard towers, I usually set up a few auto-turrets which don't need someone assigned.

I'm spending so much time trying to make the settlements happy, I barely have done any quests, other than the protecting settlement quests lol.
ps. Is it worth it to join the brotherhood? I have the option to join, but they said no more mercenary work, which makes me hesitant.

I just joined,

Not sure if its worth joining but I have read that its pays out as you get a few nice weapons from them as you progress.

You get a set of power armor as well, So I guess its worth it.

Not sure how it will possibly affect your game play, like later on you might not be able to join another group due to being part of the brotherhood.

After joining I found a ghoul, nicely dressed that said his boss is planning a job and to go see him, I will go, if it upsets the brotherhood and they kick me off their well then (in an Arnold Schwarzenegger voice) to hell with you, I say to the brotherhood. Which is I think what will happen.

I thought I wouldn't be able to continue with the minutemen but it seems the quests are still available.

So I guess I will see, maybe if continue the minuteman quest the brotherhood might kick me as well, I guess this is where the wasteland survival guide will come in handy which I got with the game, I will have a read and see and then make a choice, I already have joined the brotherhood but if I cant do other quests which might require mercenary work then I guess I can get Brotherhood power armor by killing them with a mini nuke.

I haven't done much, haven't been to Diamond City yet to look for my son, haven't cleared the castle for the minutemen quest yet, Like you I am setting up settlements, well just the 2 so far, Sanctuary and Red Rocket station.

Its a slow game, however I like it, I love open world games that allow you explore.

I read the start of the survival guide about the perks and what not and a few hints about setting up your character but didn't get too far into it as I wanted delve into the quests alone and work them out with out the guide.

The guide is handy as it pretty much guides you through everything in the game, at least it did with New Vegas, but from flipping through the new one, it has all the quests, and it seems to tell you what do , what choices you will have and what each choice might lead to.

I guess I might have a look at the brotherhood quest and see what happens if you do end up doing merc. work and go from there.

If I do it soon, which actually I might in the next few hours, i will let you know how it goes.

Ya I'm a scifi kinda guy, so I like the energy weapons and power armour. I've joined them in the other games and it didn't really affect that much. I'll most likely join them anyhow. And like you said, if they don't like what I do, to hell with them

With your workshop supplies being connected with other settlements, I was wrong and you can link them.

I just read an article that says if you select Local leader perk you gain the ability to have supply lines in the first of the 2 ranks.

Meaning you can send merchants to other settlements which in turn allows you to share supplies you have in workshops in other settlements.

here is the article giving 9 hidden mechanics that really aren't expressed when playing

www.gamesradar.com...

its 5 of 11 where the supply lines are explained.

As for the other quires, Sorry, I haven't played but most likely will over the weekend.

I thought I was going to this morning ( I work nightshift and play at very odd times) but logged into Destiny to complete my final exotic sword quest and just lost track of time.

I try to leave my Fallout play for the weekend, otherwise I would hardly sleep during the week as some games you loose track of time but Fallout is just the worst, you look up at the time thinking only half an hour to an hour has gone by but its been 3-4 hours if not more.

I played a few days ago during this week and thought 15 min. has passed only to realize 2 hours had past and I would only get 6 hours of sleep before I had to get and go to work, so I played for another what seemed like 15 min. again and then I went to bed with only 4 hours of sleep. Lucky I didn't play for another what I would think is half an hour.

I love the immersion but it takes its toll when you have do things like work and sleep.

Oh, I figured out why there was still a
on defense when the defense was 10 and there were only 2 ppl. I gave them guns and it went away.

PS I love how ATS has the same
as fallout lol.

I have like 4 power armour frames sitting in sanctuary lol. For some reason, in this game I haven't really used it. In 3 and new vegas, it was the first thing I went for. I think it's because you can upgrade the other armour in this one. And surprisingly, for me, I don't miss repairing weapons. In the other games i LOVED the jury rigging perk and made sure my repair was at 90 asap.

I've been really enjoying this game so far.
Today me and a few pals were playing and
the game glitched out some rainbow trippy
blood pixels. The shot is a little washed out,
but one get's the idea.

Anyone else have this glitch happen?

Even though i've been lurking for a decade, I've only just joined tonight. I seem to be having trouble
Imbeding the video. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you playing on pc or console? that seems like a settings error or something.

PS. I love that gun and still use it at lvl 24.

I Have not got the game but have you added any mod's to it yet, it may also be your graphics overheating, the same if it is a console as they still like cool conditions with good air flow, I get that with an older NVidea card on several games when I overclock it
but maybe someone with a little more insight may have a solution.

It looks to me like the blood texture is missing or corrupted, which is strange because you seem to be playing on the PS4 so you wouldn't have any mods installed. My only guess would be a corrupted installation. If there's a way to verify the game data I would suggest you try that.
