I wasn't sure which forum to put this in - so MODs
please feel free to move it if you think it could go
somewhere else better.
I thought this was excellent. I agree with it and
I think America could raise itself up a few levels if
it listens to Jessie Bonner in this instance.

EXCERPT -
BONNER: Tsunami tragedy not America's fault
By JESSIE BONNER, Contributing writer

EXCERPT:
Two locked plates of the Earth's crust dislodged on Dec. 26 in Indonesia, unleashing enough power to possibly shorten our 24-hour day by several
microseconds.
Natural disaster or a devious plan hatched by the United States?
The thrusting of the rock on the sea floor displaced a pile of water that roared across the ocean at 300 mph to ultimately crash into shorelines as
30-foot waves.
Natural disaster or failed Bush science experiment?
A tsunami warning system is deployed in the Pacific Ocean in order to save lives in the event of shallow earthquakes in the ocean crust. A similar
system was rejected by the leaders of most of the countries in the Indian Ocean region.
Lack of foresight on the part of Asian leaders or a Bush foreign policy failure?
I have come to the realization that anything negative that happens in America, Iraq and Afghanistan is deemed by liberals as President Bush's fault,
and anything positive that happens is a result of the programs that Bill Clinton put into place over four years ago. What I did not realize was that
the United States and President Bush could even get criticized for natural disasters in countries on the other side of the world.
