Not really. The official designations all have a model number behind it. So it officially would be SR-72A, making it fit nicely.

Since it was over the pacific something tells me they went for distance+speed ala green lady or sr71 descendent.

they wouldnt have to come from the main land. there is Guam DG Japan etc.

Depending on platform, launch locations are limited. The more people, the more restricted you are with operations, based on how classified the platform is. That means that they're very limited as to where these could launch from as all but two of them are buried deep.

Buried deep eh. So lets assume the two ones we know about are the RQ-170 and the RQ-180 that leaves us three UFO's. Green lady, QAARTZ descendent, some other HALE?

Is it possible the green lady could look like a sort of SR-72 style plane ?
