And I told you VAFB didn't launch this. Said it often.

It's been so long since the Navy fired an SLBM that it never crossed my mind. Vandenberg has launched everything out of the area recently.

Yea it is pretty common that they look like that. It has to do with the exhaust ionizing in the sun...at that height the sun still hits it just like a satellite. Here is a thread I made during the last Atlas V launch down here in FL. I had just woke up and happened to look up and catch it mid way through. I was sure it was a failed launch until I dug into it.

They aren't utilizing VAFB exclusively going forward, as evidenced in this case.

Pretty hard to do a sub launch from the mainland.

They don't use Vandenberg for SLBM launches because that sort of defeats the purpose of the S in SLBM. They've never launched them from Vandenberg. They only launch AF missiles.

They do not only launch AF missles from VAFB.

They launch rockets for several companies and organizations out of Vandenberg. But they don't launch Navy missiles from there, since they're sub launched. They launch Army and Air Force missiles to Hawaii for tests of the Aegis BMD and other systems. But they're primarily an AF missile facility.

Just saw a huge green fireball over Cincinnati S-N followed by a dim grouping of amber lights headed N-S retracing the previous path.

Less than 30 mins ago.
It seems you had a ufo sighting and reported it in a tech thread full of experts!
