The media is falling all over themselves to whip this into a story......and they don't have one second to devote to dozens of Clinton lies, several venturing into illegal, over many years. Pathetic.
Being accepted for admission to the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point is an exceptional honor reserved for our nation’s most promising students. But it takes more than excellent grades to be accepted for admission. West Point wants leaders who are not only intelligent, who are physically fit and of outstanding character. Those who are selected to attend USMA receive a college education that is unparalleled in the world with tuition, room and board, and expenses fully paid.

I guess you've never watched Fox News.
The Carson campaign disputes Politico’s unsubstantiated claim he ever claimed to have applied to West Point or been admitted: “He never said he was admitted or even applied.”

You don't happen to have a source on that graphic, do you?
EDIT: I ask because here is the Admissions page at West Point.

EDIT2: Also, searching at West Point for the word "scholarship" yields information about the concept of scholarship (academic learning and production) ... talks about Rhodes Scholarships and Fulbright Scholarships (you know ... er ... scholarships.) but nothing about West Point's scholarship program. Not to mention it's in "his" book. Which all of a sudden they're clamoring to explain was written by a ghost writer as if that's something to be exited about.
8. The question may arise whether an appointment to the Military Academy can be considered a “scholarship award” within the meaning of the income tax laws. The Internal Revenue Service has ruled that such an appointment is not a scholarship award and that the education provided by
the Military Academy must, therefore, be included as an item of support furnished by the Army.

I'm not sure what you're talking about.
Are we playing cowboys, or playing poker?
I asked for a reference to a piece of evidence. I gave one in return.
Do you have a reference to the poster itself, or did you just feel the need to extemporize on things I've never said, done, or posted?

One more small link, and I'm done. Some have said there's much worse things to worry about that this silly stuf, and they were right.

When you demand a source, you're questioning the veracity. True for the last, oh, 2-3,000 years.
I'm really just marveling at your humongous battle of trivia.
Your entire "scandal" is still based in the riveting war of synonyms "free education" vs. "scholarship"........."offered" vs. "applied / received"......etc.
It's just embarrassing, man. Not exactly bold and quality political discourse on the issues. But it's how your folks got rid of Cain and Romney 4 years ago, so any port in a storm I guess. It's still embarrassing to look at.
