I've been keeping an ear to the ground for any new footage from the upcoming Star Wars, and though it isn't much. It whets the appetite, and gives us a wee peek into the new chapter.

Despite director J.J. Abrams announcing there wouldn't be any more Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailers leading up to the film's release, fans just got the most revealing version yet.
Article

Walt Disney Studios Japan posted the new trailer on their YouTube page Friday morning, and although some of the scenes can definitely be found in the English version that aired a couple of weeks ago, there's some wild new footage.

I think the older woman's voice might be Princess Leia, but that's just a guess. Enjoy.

Right. If Luke took it off in RoTJ on the Deathstar 2.0, and then it blew up.....was it just floating in space...

This movie has my S-foils in attack position...if you know what I mean.

The sad fact will be that despite how good the movie may be, J.J Abrams will get savaged by some hardcore fans who will go straight to the message boards to discuss the pedantic changes that ruined the movie.

'the new TIE fighter has deflector shields. How dare you!'

'There is only one YT-1300? Thumbs down Abrams!'

I was skeptical at first but the more I like it-A Star Wars movie directed by a Star Wars fan.

Maybe this was Abrahm's plan since the world is so internet connected now...
Show a little something for each region, but don't give away the whole.

I like that aspect. And this Japanese trailer makes this Marvel fanboy who didn't see Age of Ultron in theaters or Ant Man, want to take a chance on the house of mouse for his other love...hell, it couldn't be worse than the prequels could it?

You nailed it there.
He will never be able to reproduce the nostalgic magic of the fan boys childhood no matter how good the movie is.
They should be happy Abrams is directing instead of M. Night shamalammadingdong.

The light LONGSWORD ( as I'm calling it) looks amazing. Really nice touch that.

As I recall, Luke brought the body to the forest moon for a "Viking Funeral." Just finishing the job Obiwan started.

I hope so. It would suck if it was all hype. Hopefully JJ actually watched the movies, has a good grasp of the Star Wars universe, and where it needs to go for the last trilogy.
