People have to get over the immature romanticism of Ben Carson

His ignorance and Sarah Palin like responses to issues is manifest

Why is he getting a break?

In fact Palin is NOT as bad as he is as the examples underneath here illustrate

Every independent thing out of his mouth is inaccurate, ignorant, sometimes immature, and often outright stupid.

He says “none of the signers of the constitution were politicians”

Well it turns out the vast majority of them were classic career politicians

He doesn't think before he speaks and what that proves is that there is not much on his mind of any real Depth

Ben Carson, utterly clueless: 5 times he made a complete dunce of himself

Sexual orientation in prison

In March, Carson ridiculously argued that “a lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight — and when they come out, they’re gay,” and was forced to retract his statement, only to feign ignorance on the matter of sexual orientation all together.

“I do not pretend to know how every individual came to their sexual orientation,” Carson later admitted, before citing his medical training to imply sexual orientation is a choice.

“I’m a doctor trained in multiple fields of medicine, who was blessed to work at perhaps the finest institution of medical knowledge in the world. Some of our brightest minds have looked at this debate, and up until this point there have been no definitive studies that people are born into a specific sexuality.”

He makes this statement without much to back up the veracity of what he avers.

Debt limit

Ryssdal: I’m gonna try one more time, sir. This is debt that’s already obligated. Would you not favor increasing the debt limit to pay the debts already incurred?
Carson: What I’m saying is what we have to do is restructure the way that we create debt. I mean if we continue along this, where does it stop? It never stops. You’re always gonna ask the same question every year. And we’re just gonna keep going down that pathway. That’s one of the things I think that the people are tired of.
As you can see, Carson never got around to answering the question and apparently does not know the difference between the debt ceiling and the budget.

Earth’s age

Later that month, Carson scrambled to backtrack on yet another controversial statement, telling the Daily Mail ahead of the CNBC debate that he was no longer sure that God created the Earth in six days.
“I believe that God created the earth,” Carson reiterated before adding, “I don’t know how old the Earth is.”
“The Bible says ‘In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth,’ and then there’s a period there. So we don’t know how long that period of time lasted,” Carson insisted.
Scientists agree that the earth is 4.4 billion years old.

Hurricanes
During last month’s historic tropical storm Joaquin, initially projected to be the largest hurricane to make landfall in history, Carson had no clue how he would handle the natural disaster. The storm made landfall in Mexico but eventually brought torrential rainfall along the Southern United States.
“If you were in the White House what would you be doing right now with tropical storm Joaquin,” ABC News asked Carson on the campiagn trail last month. “What would be your first step?”
A stunned Carson simply replied, “Uh, I don’t know.”

Now if Palin made these remarks they would be held against her

Why is this obvious incompetent, clearly intellectually and unqualified to be president, almost child-like guy given a pass?

If you form an opinion based on people who hate him, then it might be negative.

Carson has also said some smart things. But this is the political season, so people are going to trash him, trash others and the world will continue to spin.

I'm trying to have fun this political season. I find the rabid hate of Carson amusing, personally.

Hitler said smart things

Sarah Palin said smart things

Its the ratio of stupid things to smart things

I will be voting for Ben Carson if he gets the nomination. Does that make you angry?

I think the strangest thing about Dr. Carson is the paradox between the way he speaks and what he actually says. If you did not speak English and were watching and listening to him on television, you would think he was giving some very enlightening and profound speech.

Then you read the subtitles and realize he's talking about prison sex and throwing rocks at people.

And I find the fact that Carson has strong conservative support for the position of president amusing.

But since he talks in a calm polite fashion people are frowned upon for criticizing the amazingly naive and stupid things he says and does.

How about this little piece?

Republican presidential contender Dr. Ben Carson has put his public campaign events on hold for two more weeks to go on book tour for his new tome “A More Perfect Union” and catch up on fundraising events.

ABC News

Book tour? Really? Ben Carson is all about Ben Carson. He doesn't give a $h!t about America or the presidency besides what he can squeeze out of it. Indeed most political figures are incredibly selfish and egotistical. The best course of action is to not be so blatant about it.

Carson is a joke and deserves every bit of public criticism he gets if he puts himself out there.

Wow!! He's definitely got my vote.

Not at all.

Were all very experienced with the hatred of politicians.

I like to think I don't hate but don't like what they say or would do.

I don't like what Obama has done, not because the way he looks or talks but what he has done.

I still say Carson is on the level of Sarah Plain as a politician

No one has refuted that and I don't thinkk they can

Someone tried to - they said he is giving grandiose speeches about prison sex and throwing rocks at people.

Maybe he was talking about having Hillary arrested so she could finally get laid (because we all know Bill isn't exactly giving it to her) after he has thrown rocks at her?

of course, I am just teasing ...

Good points.

If you turn the TV sound off it appears to be a reasonable man before you until you turn up the sound and realize looks are deceiving.

With the sound off it looks like an intelligent college professor but with the sound on it turns into someone putting in a lot of effort at the pretension of intelligence

I actually thought Trump was more like Palin, as neither can name important world figures. But Carson is like her too.

You don't like Carson and you don't want him for president. If I had to vote right now, I'd vote for Carson. I like him better than anyone else.

If he were about to perform surgery, yes. This is in regard to him being President, though.
