Yup he is a normal breathing human being just an a hole, I could give more examples if you like but I thought that one summed it up pretty nicely.

Once again your post is not helpful or relevant as it was a shared experience between my wife and myself on multiple start ups of the saw over about 10 to 15 min.

Your next comment will be along the lines of a shared audio visual hallucination I assume so let's clear that one up while we are at it.

It is far more plausible for it to be a faulty saw, wiring, or even some sort of paranormal experience than it would be for two rational and sane people to share the same exact delusion at the same time. Furthermore what would be our trigger?

If this had only happened when I was home alone and no one else was there to verify it, I would have never posted a thread about it. I look forward to your next unnecessary comment trying to cast doubt on an experience that my wife and I shared.

I might be able to explain how the saw turned itself on. My old vacuum turned itself on more than once and it scared an old friend white when he saw it happen.

Certain appliances (especially the cheaper models) have cheap switches that won't engage or disengage properly. I have a torch that won't light when I press the button but if I give it a tap it will start to shine.

while i wont discount the possibility of a faulty on of trigger, the saw in and of itself is not a cheap model based on the brand anyways. If the drywall guy doesn't show up here soon i might go down and plug it back in and see what happens, if it were to turn on as soon as i plug it in it would lend some credence to it being a fault in the machine and not something paranormal.

No wonder it's taking him so long, 5 or 6 hours a day....

Remember don't touch his stuff! If he went mad about some pliers, what's he going to do if you mess with his saw!!

Plus if he finds something he can use it might give him something to wriggle out of finishing the job....

Keep yourself right.

sounds advice, and yeah he doesnt work long hours at least here at my house, hell while he is working i see him come up to his truck on average of 10 times throughout the day, to sit in his truck and take phone calls so he most likely only does maybe 3 hours of work a day down there.

That's the thing... I question all of your claims, because I sense that you are delusional.

I'd be pretty pissed off too if he doesn't do much work, turns up when he likes and acts like an ass.

Does he need to sign off on the work for safety and insurance purposes?

if you sense i am delusional please inform me and the others why you feel that way? what in this post or even in my posting history would lead you to believe that i am? I understand skepticism i understand looking for logical explanations for the things around us.

what i dont understand is for some one who uses the definition of Occams razor for his signature, you go out of your way to make claims that would have the higher number of assumptions based on the known facts.

so that leaves me with 3 options

1. obvious troll is trolling
2. you honestly see something that no one else sees and are being cryptic and vague about it
3. your are confused and possibly bored and are to scared to think that something unexplained could happen or exist and or you refuse to allow for a logical explanation to the events as the occurred

so please tell me are you 1. 2 or 3 and if you choose number 2 please inform me what makes me so delusional..

i need to sign off on the work do to the settlement that was signed between the previous owner and my wife and myself. the previous seller was able to select the contractors who would be doing the work on the house to fix the issues that he covered up. it was a stipulation that we had put in to make sure that he didnt hire people that would cut and run at the first chance they got.

If he's requested payment and he hasn't showed up then chances are someone else will be sent for the tools.
Just don't hand them over.

Why would something as dangerous as en electric saw be left plugged in when not in use? That dry-waller sure seems negligent. I'd ask him to unplug it when not in use. That is just common sense.

As for what caused it to turn on, there are a lot of good theories already. Won't speculate about it myself. What would be something is if it turned on when it was unplugged.

i agree with you, if it were to turn on while it was unplugged i think i would have upped and moved already. it is one thing to see things out of the corner of your eye or even what appears to be a man behind glass in a room in your house it is another thing completely for power tools to turn on when there is no power to make them run.

Are you concerned about this or are you just wanting this to be paranormal? I have had lots of experience with power tools and they can do some funky things now and then. I used to have a washing machine that would for some reason shift and bounce up and down as if Satan himself was inside of it. I don't think it was Satan inside of it though. Why would you let a contractor jack around like this? I would be letting him know what you expect from him and that as the one paying him he should adhere to you're rules.
