I also think he'd be an excellent choice because I believe disclosure will be the beginning of the end to "organized religion" and it's going to take the most recognized spiritual leader on the planet to guide the faithful into accepting this revelation and adopting a new way of thinking. You think the leader of one of the most money-making religious organizations on the planet would renounce their beliefs? The Vatican's chief astronomer has already admitted there might be other intelligent civilizations in our galaxy, however, the belief that 'God' is the master creator would only be stronger. We Are Not Alone

Personally, I think disclosure and the end of organized religion is the next big step forward for mankind. Again, devout worshippers, regardless of which religion, would claim their 'god' made aliens.

It's the kind of thing that can dissolve our perceived differences and unite us as a planetary species. Given our predilection for war and violence, I doubt very much that humanity would miraculously shed our differences and unite as a species...as awesome as this would be.

I'm curious... What if the newcomers have a religion all their own? What if it was similar to some of our own? (Something like the 10 commandments and all that)

I'm sure they will...and it will go something like 'we made you so worship us'.

I think we would.....maybe I just am too optimistic.

There would still be psychopaths but the majority of people surely would come around to a global view.

Certainly not the Pope! The head of the Catholic Church whom as an organization are hiding knowledge of ET from the world themselves...

I think it would need to be the Russians or a nation who have an established space programme. For example Japan or China but not the USA.

I don't see the revelation that alien life exists affecting organized religion at all. As far as who I would want to disclose this information I would prefer anyone do it at this point. It simply needs to be done.

Why would the revelation of Aliens inspire people to give up their sovereignty? We have enough government already we need LESS not more.

That's a good question and with exception to the atheist and/or agnostics I'm not sure what the implications would be for the rest of humanity. I guess it would really depend on who's religion the ET's most closely resembled.

I suspect it could be blissful vindication for some while sparking a whole new trend where other, less aligned religions initiate celestial searches for their own separate ET heritage who's religion, they hope, is more in line with their own.

Who knows?

I was thinking the pope. How exactly would you explain to the public that ET exist and have contacted mankind? How do you keep people from freaking out? How do you think the general public would respond to disclosure? How would the explain the cover ups and the constant lying and deflection? 80 years of cover ups. Should some officials go to prison for knowingly lying/covering up about alien contact with mankind?

Gilbert Gottfried. Then the government can tell the ETs that they allowed disclosure, but nobody will take Gilbert seriously. It's a win-win for the government.

If we were to get real disclosure, a whole bunch of people are going to be admitting that they were wrong and/or have been lying about a whole bunch of stuff worldwide.

Personally, I think a lot of people have known about ET existence for a long time and it's turned into one of those situations where the cover-up is worse than the crime.

At the same time, people will be forced to accept the realization that we can't change what's already been done and once they get over the initial impact, I think the religious barriers that have separated us in the past will give way to a new feeling of unity and oneness as a species among species.

And then I could be totally wrong.

I have been on ATS since 1998. Started on this site after I read Behold a Pale Horse. I researched every paragraph from William Coopers book. IF NONE OF YOU actually have done as much research as I have into that book then none of you would have found the Truth as I have.

There already has been a person chosen to reveal the alien presence to mankind. His name was Michel Desmarquet. In Behold a Pale horse I zeroed in on the paragraph of when we humans crossed or recrosssed into the nuclear age when we dropped the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki. There were many reports that many of the worlds leaders disappeared or had many well thought up excuses for disappearing. They all went to Muroc, where they were approached by two races one only offering spirituality and the other only technology. I'll leave it at that. Michel is the only other person since the time of the great grandfather of Noah, Enoch, to be chosen to be reveal the Alien presence on Earth. 5,000+ years and only Michel and Enoch have walked amongst The Angelic Race.

The Grays maybe be more advanced technologically, they only want to cure their version of Aids and are going extinct quite quickly and that is why they wanted to trade with us, blood for tech, but they Grays are still from a level 1 planet, according to the People from The Planet Thiaoouba,the ones that inspired the bible, are from a level 9 planet, there are only 3 levels 9's in the entire cosmos. I myself am not from this level 1 category planet but chose to incarnate here to further my own conscious evolution so I may ascend another level. I am only 31 and have a few more years to go before reaching full enlightenment. Ego death is quite hard on any level of planet. Psychic Powers are more intoxicating as your power level grows but then one comes to the realization that even if You became as powerful as The 7 Thaori still The Great Spirit, The Lord God is 1 Trillion X more powerful then they are and that there is no other choice but bow down and realize that the inner belief, the core of the ego is that it thinks its the source of its own power. Once that is surrendered back to The Great Spirit that is Nirguna Nirvana.
