Hell, with all the homos on TV now, I think Hollywood is trying to push men into homosexuality! I turn on cable TV now and there's fairys all over the place. My girlfriend likes to watch that Christopher Lowell dude. Man, I have to go in the bathroom and puke after watching that guy for ten minutes.

To me there's a difference between being gay and being flaming. These guys (gals) on TV are seriously flaming and I think that they would gladly hop in the sack with anything that had a penis. That's just my opinion.

While I don't agree with the way Thinker tried to get his point across, I do think that he's right about the media being contradictory, in most cases, to the shared values of this country as a whole. Pedophilia is a horrible and dispicable thing, but that doesn't stop the media from finding these young, underage girls like Britney Spears and the like and selling their image as hot little sexual dynamos. If you just open your eyes and look for it, you can see many cases of this erratic media behavior. The media is directly responsible for the downfall of society.

Statistically, there are FAR more bi women than bi men...so it makes sense that a bi male scene wouldn't go over too well.

Likewise, few (not all) women enjoy seeing guys make out either, further trimming the audience for this.

While one can applaud them for being factual, it probably wasn't the best box office idea, as evidenced by it's rather lackluster opening...

I consider myself to be a pretty accepting guy, heck, even my brother is gay, and my wife has a tendancy to check out chicks now and then.... But I'm still a little when I see guys making out, hehe....

Gaz, I agree and disagree. While increasing portrayals do make it easier for bi women to come out about it, increasing portrayals in the media throughout also show it to be a more acceptable behavior. The fact of the matter is that more and more women are open to the idea of bisexuality because they are constantly bombarded with it everyday in the media. The media leads women to believe that all men like bisexual women. I'm a man and I don't even want to think about my girlfriend being with ANYBODY else, male or female. That's my kitty cat!!! To those people in the mind controlled herd, the media has a profound effect on their lives. I believe that this is no coincidence.

I disagree. You can't just label a whole society as "immoral" because of the spread of AIDS. Therefore I suppose you believe each individual has more sexual partners than your beloved "christian male"?

I remember there was a documentary on the topic a while back, mainly covering the lack of medication in Africa, but showing how those with AIDS are shunned by villages and neighbours: people simply will not go near the victims or their families. It was a sorry sight to see: nobody would help a man except his children, already having lost their mother to the disease they were forced to run a house and work on a farm. All while taking care of their father, who was too weak to leave the bed.

So no, no support came from the neighbours who took the "holier than thou" mentality. And little came by the way of medication because it simply was not available. I think it is best or anyone to avoid such mentality, it just isn't constructive.

Anyway, back to the topic...

1) a director decides to create an accurate portrayl (sp?) of Alexander the Great, a well-known historical figire.

2) the evil director decides to create an equally evil movie, brainwashing the minds of millions into becoming interior designers.

Of course, if it was number 2) then we must consider how all the hetero sex scenes in loads and loads of movies, TV and so on have failed to convert gays/lesbians into bisexuals? Or even heteros?

Alternately, perhaps sexuality simply can't be adjusted and altered like your desktop? Ah, now we're getting somewhere. That explains why there suddenly aren't millions of newly-made bisexuals leaving a cinema every day.

Ah well, look on the bright side, Thinker, they could have shown the same sort of romance in Alexander with two blokes as they do with opposite sexes in... just about every other film.
