That may indeed be happening, but it is unlikely that many of the those kids, if any at all, running around on Hallowe'en are actively involved in anything of the sort.

When millions of children celebrate Satan?

Well...it's only fair.

The rest of the years holidays are pretty much taken up with Jesus and Buddha, Jehovah and whatnot..even Santa gets a go at Xmas..poor old Satan, can't he have just one single day to himself?

Well, if Satan represents the spirit of rebellion, perhaps we should add him to our July 4th festivities?

He's been associated at times with fire and sulfur, we use fireworks on the 4th that use sulfur ...

Seems like a match made in ... well, ... Hell.

One has to really go within and divine the truth when one has the knowledge. Here's the basis for the origins of the holiday and all it's customs. www.av1611.org...

Thanks for the info, but I think you should really add a disclaimer about your link containing a disturbing image, ThirdEye.

As far as "going within and divining the truth" ... I'd have to say that's just another way of saying "go with your belief."

Which would make it personal and subjective, which has almost nothing to do with objective truth.

Which is, of course, just fine, as long as you're not forcing it on anyone else.

By the way, your link certainly does not house much if any objective truth about the American Halloween, although, it probably is a prime example of my contention in another thread that many (if not most) Christians feel that Robertson is absolutely right in his assertion about Halloween.

(And I keep pointing to the idea that it means something else entirely when Pat says it year after year ... I'm just not sure what that is ... yet.)

Yes, published books from the 19th century and early 20th and cherry-picked quotes combined with irrational statements based on nothing but belief.

In fact, many folks here have given links to citations for their statements.

In further point of fact, neither of those are the subject of the thread, although I do appreciate your civil participation!

I'm not going to quibble with you about your source, ThirdEye.

Folks can read it if they're interested and make their own determinations based on their own criteria as I did.

Why don't you read it before commenting that it's irrational? And last I
Checked the subject of the thread is whether children are either wittingly or unwittingly worshiping satan or the devil Andy link specifically states that it's Baal and the origins are the Druids.

... and going back to my "sumthins not right here" in regard to Pat's public persona ...

I offer this from 2013 (courtesy The Blaze regarding trans* folks:

“I think there are men who are in a woman’s body. It’s very rare, but it’s true,” he said. “Or women that are in men’s bodies and that they want a sex change and that is a very permanent thing, believe me, when you have certain body parts amputated and you have shot up with various kinds of hormones.”

Robertson called the procedure “radical” and proceeded to make the most intriguing and controversial comments on the subject — views that are earning him praise among left-of-center blogs that typically lambaste his comments about gays.

“I don’t think there’s any sin associated with that,” he continued. “I don’t condemn somebody for doing that.”

Honestly, that's more paradoxical than him sitting on a couch with the Rev. Al Sharpton talking about the dangers of climate change in a commercial sponsored by Al Gore's outfit. (Not really, but almost.)

I did read it. It's irrational.

One example, then I'm done.

Baal, deity/deities/kings in the Levant (Middle East) circa 3000-2000 BCE.

Druids, western Europe, circa 200 BCE.

Im pretty certain you did not read any of the published materials referenced on the page....but as for cherry picking....oh by the way your own post with the original Robertson quote says that the children do not realize what they are doing....anyway I decided to go back through the pages and went through 4 pages and did not find one link where people referenced published works to back up their opinions errr statements. So there's that! Now of course there are plenty of links on google which speak favorably of the Druids.....

But then there seems to be plenty to back up the whole human sacrifice stuff....

www.digitalmedievalist.com...
But to be fair about this apparently Greeks and Romans wrote about the sacrifices of the Druids, they were supposedly philosophers who believed in reincarnation and Im cool with that(you don't know me as well as you think)

en.wikipedia.org...
Honestly Im not a big fan of Robertson, he's a bit fundy for me...but I think he's at least partially right.

Anyway Im done with this thread and subject. Halloween is over.

Found this gem from 2006 at Prison Planet, written by Joseph Watson: "If anyone's Satanic, it's Pat Robertson"

Robertson has been caught on numerous occasions flashing El Diablo Satanic hand signals on his show (pictured above) and soft-peddling for the beast system by telling Christians not to worry about Big Brother surveillance and biometric scanning.

Robertson is pro Skull and Bones, Bohemian Grove Bush, pro war, and pro government. He is a modern day Judas Iscariot. How does this help an image of Christianity that has already been hijacked and soiled by evil men who veil themselves in religion to obscure mass criminality?

Atheists channel surfing reach the God Channel, CBN and Trinity Broadcasting Network and are confronted by maniacal drooling televangelists who bark like dogs and claim to have the power to save someone's life by touching them on the head. They see the ravings of these demented lunatics and immediately say to themselves, "if that's God I want nothing to do with it."

Interesting points to follow up on. Not too far away from what I've been saying here ... but PrisonPlanet, gods help.

Say Jesus came back and saw all the kids dressed up for Halloween. And even some kids dressed up as Devils. Jesus would say judge not these little kids lest ye be judged. Jesus would even say forgive the devil. The last thing he'd be saying would be to not let kids have fun. He'd say focus on more important problems like poverty and hunger.
He also said the poor yw shall have with you always so he recognized there isn't always the perfect solution to hunger. He also said woe to you lawyers and cast devils out of people and the legion went into pigs and ran off the cliff so look at what he said not what you think he wound say.
well jesus would have magically made some fish appear ot eat to deal with hunger and if he is coming back it's got to be time for the kingdom on earth anyway but bottom line is he wouldn't be an ahole about Halloween.
