Massive adverts

Hi, this is sort of linked to this thread:

The difference I'm seeing though, isn't the time the advert takes to load but the amount of screen real estate they take up. For example, the "Jump Around" one blocks out the top 40 odd percent of my screen which makes the underlying posts unreadable. Another one, the "Everything gives you cancer" video is exactly the same.

Only appears to have been happening over the past couple of days though.

Is it just me? Do I need a new pop-up blocker or something?

Im getting them dropping down when i put my mouse near the top of the page.
But i just scroll up to the top and click the X on the right hand side
