I had one of my co-workers, whose old fashioned, have a little talk about religion and one article he saw in a newspaper, when I asked what he was reading on lunch, which turned out to be a prayer pocket he read daily. He said, in one section of the paper, there is one of those people that answer back to questions that placed in it, near the horoscopes and Sudoku section. Where the woman answered to someone, who was saying that her mother was trying to force her to go to church every Sunday, and that she did not want to go anymore, even though she has her own believe in a God.

Apparently, what the news paper woman said, was that "Church is a Hospital for Sinners", which kind of makes sense, where you got the confession stands, people begging forgivness, etc.. Now what he was saying to me, is that God gives you so many hours a week, that God would only need one hour, if even that, just to be thanked.

Kind of makes sense, but Ill stick with meditation.

Good job. You've proven what the bible has been telling us for close to 3,000 year. Humanity is plagued with inherent hypocrisy. What's next?

It is not humanity's hypocrisy that needs to be rid from the Universe.

We got far worse problems than anything humans have come up with.

Humans are the SOLUTION.

The problem with quoting the Apocryphon of John is that it is fiction, and was considered fiction during its time. It would be like someone finding a copy of the Bible alongside a copy of "Left Behind" hundreds of years from now and thinking the two belonged together

Aha, Lilith is in the bible- Isaiah 34:14 But the story about her is from other Jewish writings than the bible.

Don't know which bible you are talking about but it most certainly is not in mine. Would you quote that verse of Isaiah 34:14?

You can prove it is fiction? Would love to see your proof. You do realize that when you make a statement as fact that the burden of proof is on you.

Source?

I found a lot of it to coincide with the orthodox Gospel, such as Jesus being the first (creation) and thus to be the last on earth (final coming), as when he calls himself the Alpha-Omega (first and last). Also, Elohim isn't mentioned once in the New Testament... and also Elohim is plural, indicating it is not the Monad; AKA God of the Most High, creator of All, Our Heavenly Father. The Apocryphon of John does a great job dismabiguating this confusion that is not elucidated in the Orthodox Bible. yet, we can see the Orthodox Bible eludes to the truths expressed in the Apocryphon of John...

Perhaps this will help the discussion as it relates to Ms. Lilith..

judaism.about.com...

judaism.about.com...

It would also HELP to know that Jesus, The Great Buddha, Muhammed, Lao Tzu were NOT following any 'religion™' it was the Ones who followed them and looked outside their Own Self for 'salvation' that started the religion/division.

Shalom
