"extra DIV"
I have noticed this at times appearing at the end of posts. What does this 'mysteriousness cryptic notation' entail/mean?

How about an example?

Oh; I am just waxing on/non-linear abstract thinking as usual; post the response and at the end of my post is the added "extra DIV". I know this as a certainty: its not a Wile E. Coyote style T minus 3..2..1 (use your imagination) no ka-booms.

Step away from the catnip! extra DIV? Directed Intelligence Vector. Mystery solved.

Div is an HTML tag, it's short for division (or maybe divider?) and a pair of them are used to encapsulate blocks of content. What browser are you using?

Explorer; not sure it can read my intent/thought process.

Odd. Well in web parlance an "extra div" is a superfluous div tag. I have no idea why the words "extra DIV" would be appearing in your browser though.

Urban dictionary, "DIV"

Why don't you see what staff has to say about it? They would be interested I think in any tag that doesn't belong.

I got that on a reply when I spelled a sentence in Spanish.
I took it as a sign that this is an English only forum.
Eso es genial. Entiendo.

If I recall correctly, it happened to me in a reply to you last night.
Something about an exploding pinata.
I've slept since then. I don't remember the thread.

Probably a broken notation container. I know I've caught myself forgetting to open a notation line before and just adding --> at the end of one before. IE might be auto assigning the font a color too so that it appears in IE, but perhaps not in other browsers.

You have solved theantediuvians broken notation container problem but perhaps not in other browsers. I don't think my browser can outthink me.
