It is generally accepted that the first gospel written was Mark written in AD 60+

And revelation was written AD 80+

So what is your take on the scripture? The "mark" is associated with idol worship also. Those receiving the mark will be performing an act of worship.They will see things that make them worship (miracles).

I believe we will KNOW when we see it happening if we are looking eyes open and as you say have faith.

The problem is that you are making up your own definition of "who" the anti-Christ is. Notice I wrote "who". The anti-Christ is not supposed to be an inorganic object. The anti-Christ is the anti-theses of Jesus. Another man/humanoid who will deceive people but who deep inside has the aspects of a demon.

Just like the bible reveals the anti-Christ, it also reveals that the four beasts are supposed to be nations. Daniel tells us what the four beasts are.

The fourth and last beast is supposed to be Rome, but has no animal representation.

The bible does contain allegory, symbolism, etc. However, it is also very straight forward when it needs to be. Money has been in use thousands of years and while the Bible was collected. The beast and Mark of it specifically says is something to look out for in the future and it would be a new unrecognized something or other. So money is evil and so is greed I agree completely and that's why your logic works. But it is not the beast or Mark just because the beast is described the same way.

There is so much to respond to but I'll just add one more thought. The temple story is not an allegory nor do I think replacing bank for temple satisfies the definition of allegory. But the temple incident is another time the bible is being very straight forward and thank gosh for it since this is a huge problem lately.

The money changers would go to the temple not to worship but because all making a pilgrimage there would need to exchange and they'd do so for a jacked up rate. Also, birds would be sold that if released would fly right back to be sold again. This passage is pointing the finger at people who use belief in God, faith, devotion, reverence, etc. as means to make money. Who best exemplifies this today? Billy Graham, Tammy Faye, the purple hair tbn old lady who cries about dolls. Televangelists! Who go as far as convincing senile sick aging people who are easily controlled to take their wealth and disinherit the family and leave everything to their ministry. Shoot, silver and purple hair lady makes 60 million a year in private donations and it's all tax free so she can buy three jets, a 5000 sqft dog house,and do so little to help the needy compared to herself that this is who Jesus would bust in on while she teared up and said, "God needs your donations to convince him to heal little Timmy here..." and he'd flip over her podium break her mic and say, "this is my father's house, yo!" Just as he did back then. Summary:it's evil if you see someone somehow turning others' truly deep faith into a money making opportunity.
