I don't understand evolution.

God and evolution don't have to be mutually exclusive. Maybe God set evolution in motion, why can't that be an option? Because a book doesn't mention it? I find that extremely short sighted and (forgive me) ignorant.

There is tons of evidence in favor of evolution. If you refuse to acknowledge the evidence of long term changes based on environmental change then you pretty much reject anything science has to say about how the Earth formed as well. All because of a book that was only written a few thousand years ago. Very ignorant in my opinion, especially since you admit you don't understand it.

I don't understand trigonometry, therefore I don't believe it and it's a lie. Sounds pretty dumb huh?

If you want proof of evolution just look at dogs. All the many breeds around the world were developed from wolves in just the last 10,000 years or so.

I always believed that DNA did not pull it's butt out of a stew of organic chemicals. That implies God, but we will probably never understand its nature as mortal beings.

DNA is an evolution machine, so where and when it evolves after that does not matter. It keeps on evolving.
