Oops, Supposed to say, Moderator Appreciation Thread !!

Being a Moderator is a thankless proposition. I liken it to being a prison guard or a principle of a school. There are some MODS that go above and beyond to institute fairness and to be diplomatic. I have had my share of dealings with TPTB and while I might not always agree with their reasoning, I respect them.

They ignore me sometimes, but I do not take it personal (lying). I am sure they are dealing with more pressing issues when that happens (crying). I know they get paid so much to do this MOD stuff (0) and I think they all deserve a raise (5%) at least and some paid vacation and sick days and parental leave (maternity or paternity).

I asked for permission to do this appreciation thread and I never heard back, as far as I know, I am not violating any unwritten rule or T&C.

I am not going to single out anyone in particular as being the best or better than all, I just want to give a Thanks, publicly, to All the MODS and I am including the owner/operators of this site.

Thanks and I am not giving any of you cookies! Instead, I am sending you a basket of fruit for all to enjoy (not a real one), but I hope you will take this for what it is worth; THANK YOU!

I really enjoy hanging out here and getting my daily fix, if I get on your nerves in any way then I am SORRY!

In all seriousness though, I also appreciate the work that goes on behind the scenes. They are the tin star in a very lawless land.

Well since this is almost a sanctuary for the most insane humans on this planet, i think they are doing a great job.
On the surface this is a conspiracy site, underneath this is ancient greece.

All schools, all ideologies, but instead of going ranting you need to keep it clean.

Yeah, it's kinda pandering... but not allowed? OP troubles me sometimes and I strongly disagree with them often, but never so much that I would think this is a thread that should not be allowed. I don't think the intent was against T&C.

This needed to come out. And for this thread's sake alone proves
the Mod has not a thankless job. A good dig, and no pandering
either-- deze guys are sometimes overseeing a zoo full of TRexs
with 4K cattle prods and old C-cells to boot. And Hyperia, thanks
for the Greecian belly laugh in the middle of a dismal ocean of
content lately. You can call me Crock-rates anytime bud.

I'm (so far) grateful and delighted to say none of my posts have
ever had to be scrubbed-- except one that was the beginning of
an important and unfortunately redundant thread. And even
at that I got a U2U from Skep. Hey I gotta slow draw, no hard
feelings.

For the other side of it there may be a good reason why ATS is
the best out there--- these people will help you navigate the
tough parts: and keep from screwing everything and everyONE UP.

Of course as a proven, extremely crude life form I can do myself
most times without external assistance.... hey just didit.

I haven't been here that long, so my interaction with the moderators has been thus far limited, but I will say being one must be time consuming and therefore does deserve thanks. Especially, since I am certain there are not many perks that come with the job or a salary of any kind. Thanks MODS!

But OP, yeah, it's not that thankless. My inbox gets enough thank you's in the run of the month to keep me happy.

The honest truth is we do it because we love this place. If we weren't staff we'd be right here anyway. So we might as well do some work while we are.

Mods are always considered members first, it's the only way to make this gig enjoyable as it allows us to mod when we want and have the time and to participate like any other member when we don't.

Personally I thank all of you. If it wasn't for you guys, I wouldn't have have this job.
