Did they review the videos?
Top House Democrats say Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, the chairman of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, received the footage about two weeks ago but has refused to share it. The release of edited versions of the footage has prompted some GOP lawmakers to call for the defunding of Planned Parenthood.
"Chaffetz has in his possession right now, a computer hard drive that contains videos produced by David Daleiden, the head of the group that tried to entrap Planned Parenthood," Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-N.Y., said, interrupting the chamber's debate on legislation expanding the investigation into Planned Parenthood.
A Democratic aide said Chaffetz is in "direct violation" of a recent subpoena for the unedited footage -- as is Daleiden for handing over the uncut footage only to Republicans, when the subpoena requires copies for both parties.

Most Republicans have responded to the edited versions of the videos with calls to strip Planned Parenthood of its federal funding, which has traditionally amounted to millions of dollars.

What do the videos have to do with investigating their revenue?
I don't know... but if they are doing an investigation and they DIDN'T watch the videos that supposedly bolster their case, they're not only incompetent, but even more wasteful of taxpayers' money that I thought. Not only do they have free access to the edited videos, as we all do, Jason Chaffetz supposedly has David Daleiden;s hard drive, which contains the ACTUAL unedited versions, which are unavailable to the public at this time.
That is what you are implying but not the fact of the matter. Those videos were supposed to show them profiting illegally from the sale. The investigation looked at how they got their money and found no wrong doing. What part are you missing?

Republicans have lost touch with reason these days. Much of what they do is not based in fact, but propoganda.
In July, the Center for Medical Progress began releasing selectively edited videos of Planned Parenthood staff members discussing the health care provider's fetal tissue donation program. Anti-abortion advocates immediately began accusing Planned Parenthood of profiting off the sale of fetal tissue, which would be illegal. Multiple investigations were launched in Congress and in the states. They turned up no evidence that Planned Parenthood was doing anything other than receiving legal reimbursements for the cost of processing the donations.
That doesn't seem to matter to GOP elected officials across the country.
"The videos, as dishonest as the videos are, have had their intended effect," said Sara Rosenbaum, a professor in health law and policy at George Washington University. "They gave everybody the platform to work from that they had lacked up until now."
On the federal level, the government was almost shut down in an effort to slash $528 million in funding to Planned Parenthood. On the state level, some Republican governors cut the organization out of their Medicaid programs. Several states stopped directing federal Title X funding to the group. Title X pays for cancer screenings, contraception and tests sexually transmitted infections (STIs) for low-income women.
In other states, the legislature is currently debating what bucket of funding it will target. At this point, Planned Parenthood has prevailed in just one state, Georgia, as the map below illustrates.

HA! There you have it. Even the Republicans are being forced to admit that Planned Parenthood hasn't done anything wrong. Can we PLEASE all admit that this scandal was a manufactured crisis now?

Of course it was. Most political "scandals" are (at best) blown way out of proportion. The question isn't whether or not it was manufactured but why?
Yes, yes. I know all about the Republican anti-abortion thing. That doesn't really explain why they would manufacture a scandal that they had to have known would ultimately only end up exposing them as liars. This makes no sense even to the dumbest minds. Common street criminals are smarter than this.I don't buy that they didn't expose themselves on purpose. But again, if they did, why did they do that?
That simple question seems to lead down a pretty narrow corridor with not very many possible answers. The only one that makes sense to me is far more "interesting" than the fact that politicians are liars. Everybody knows that.
