how do I post a new thread?

How do you make new thread ?

So how many posts do I need in 2021?

Posting here so I can finally start my own threads lol

I have over 20 posts and yet, the little leaf is still white and I cannot post a new thread.

A little guidance please!

goto the forums tab, select appropriate forum for your thread (please dont be mud pit, please dont be mud pit), lets say science and technology, then there is a +icon (new topic) not the leaf (the leaf shows new threads within that forum), click that and bring forth your knowledge

then and only then , retreat under your duvet as your inner thoughts are truly ravaged by the great minds (generous i know) of ATS

Thanks so much! No no Mud Pit!! I’ve literally run a race through mud (up to my hips) once and did not enjoy it at all, so I will gladly refrain from any mud slinging!

There is a minimum post limit you have to reach before you can start new threads. To be honest I'm not sure if it's still 20 or if it was lowered to 15. It is one or the other.

This is a preventative measure to help keep spammers from having an easy time of flooding the forums.

Whatever the current post requirement is, it's very easy to reach by taking a few minutes to check the various forums and drop a few comments on threads that interest you.

Thank you ... but to reach this using a search like duckduck is shamefull.
That info should be known and even if you hide it for reasons well it is counter productive !

The same way you posted your other threads. Go to the forum you want. Click on the New Topic button above and to the right. Post your starting post, give it a label and make sure it has substance and is in the right forum.
