First of all apologies to members of ATS who are very knowledgeable on the state of affairs in Syria, this link isn't for you, however, if like myself you are quite ignorant with regards to what is happening in Syria, I thought you may find this link interesting. Someone had left a link to it in the Daily Express and after watching it I do feel it has explained things and made it a bit clearer to me.

In saying that I am not sure if this is the whole truth and would be interested to hear any comments people may have. Do they believe Turkey has been buying oil from ISIS? Is it true that the reason why the West want rid of Assad is because of oil? Is it that simplistic.

If Russia have check mated Obama what do fellow Americans who are in the know think Obama's, NATO's next move will be? Do those with more knowledge believe this could start WW3 and if so are we really expected to send our sons, husbands and (wives, daughters) into a war purely to line the pockets of the elite?

Obama might represent the US on paper but I question if he really represents the people of the US because there is absolutely NOTHING in Syria of any importance to the US or its people. So Putin has not checkmated the US. He has checkmated a third party that is using the US as its stick. If war breaks out, that third party will be prepared to sacrifice its stick in a gambit that is guaranteed to fail.

A China/Russian alliance will end up being the new world supremacy much sooner than most suspect.

It's the same old stuff you hear, here day in and day out, everyone who's got it all figured out- The west is bad, allied with the evil people(which has some truth, and we ought not sacrifice moral compass for strategic positioning) the west just wants pipelines, the west is a death cult, it's not new or special information.

To me it's old news, could we come up with a better conspiracy,?maybe a more original one. This is just like the people thinking a space rock is going to hit us,that NASA declares won't, and they believe NASA is evil, and has horrible intentions and wants to keep the calm so that they can go to their underground bunkers in peace.

Well the problem with that, just like with this, is that there are other people watching all the time, who would scream their heads off and make national news at the first hint of such a thing.

Sorry, too many people have been involved it's not,"being in the know" to have your head in the clouds, everything is not a conspiracy and it's sad to say, but sometimes the world is as stupid as it seems.

Yes, there is surreptitious activity and things that we do not know, however some guy in his garage or on YouTube hasn't figured it all out just because he gets 'gnarly' thoughts while he's musing the hard questions of reality. For me,I do believe generally our government has our best interests at heart, and that is the true question do you believe, generally the government has our best interest at heart?

I know I will get flamed for this post, after all we are on a CT website however these theory's that have this type of structure and progression creating logical holes don't seem compelling they seem ignorant, and not practical.

Furthermore, I don't even see this type of theory as a CT I see it as a political stance, west bad , Russia good or any mix of that and more, but always starting with the west is bad. Now all you guys go ahead post all the evils and atrocities the west has commited, even the less solid ones, that you just think the west committed, and willfully ignore the other side, or context ,or anything else ,and just focus on hating the west. Seems like a political stance to me and not a true blue conspiracy theory, but hey I could be completely wrong, can you say that?

There is plenty of interest to the USA in that area. Nixon's Bretton Woods agreement with Saudi Arabia made sure of that.

As Assad refused to have an oil pipe layed through Syria from Saudi Arabia thereby bypassing the Russian Oil...his fate was sealed.

ww3 has been waged since 9/11. Obama is not going to do anything except roll over and cry in the fetal position, as he is only used to bullying weaker powers. At least Republican leaders have the balls to hit back right away. I seriously doubt ISIS would even have been formed under republican leadership and here is why.

The bulk of ISIS command structure originated with the "Sons of Iraq" . These were the men General Patreus was paying to route the foreign element causing so much mayhem in Iraq right up to the 2008 surge. And it worked, there was a noticeable reduction in instability for a short time. Until Obama came to power. What was the significance of this??

He did not much care to be involved in Iraq any longer and just wanted to look good bringing home the troops. A noble cause, except in the process he would routinely snubb Al-Maliki (then prime minister) attempts to contact him for whatever reasons. Could not typically even get into contact with any senior staff. He resented this very much, and took it as a sign the Americans are uninterested in anymore policy decisions within the country.

As a result, he figured he would do whatever he wanted to do. See under Bush, the two leaders had a very personal and friendly relationship and the minister needed to talk to him they would be on the phone in minutes. One of the conditions enforced was that the Iraqis maintain a very inclusive government representing all parties of Iraq. However left to his own accord, Al-Maliki decided it was time to do some political purging.

He subsequently began removing political rivals from office and the military, disappearing and basically eliminating many of them. That was the straw that broke the camels back. This was the last time that the Iraqi people would be screwed by false promises as the Sons of Iraq had assurances that were broken thanks to Obamas "Im too good to care" attitude, and they were the one to bear the brunt of the purging in the military.

Soon after the PM began replacing the battle hardened experienced officers with party loyalists, they spit off and morphed into what is now ISIS. The noobs did not stand a chance against the commandos who they should have thanked to help bring a small semblance of normalcy by driving out Al-CIA-Duh in Iraq. Not long after that they recombined with the foreign elements, tricked the DOD and CIA into giving them support to throw out Assad, all the while pursuing their own goals of conquest.

The rest is basically what you have seen unfold starting from last year.

The only thing the video left out is how the free Syrian army used chemical weapons on civilians in a bid to gain US/UK air support this false flag has been proven
Also the majority of Syrians support him unlike David Cameron and his 37% of the vote and just because his father was in power before means nothing sure the Bush's it is actually quite question able wether western election s age rigged
Anywho Mr Putin is doing what's best for Russia and the Russians like all leaders are supposed to and it just so happens it what's best for the civilized world as well and the US has launched an information war aka a war of lies some of its proponents maybe along soon to refute the obvious make lame accusation s of civilians being bomb or wishing a second Afghan upon the Russians

the CIA and DOD frequently have conflicting goals. The DOD must abide by all international laws and uniform codes of conduct. The CIA however is basically the branch that is needed to commit the crimes a government cannot be caught committing. That includes funneling weapons to certain terrorists that meet the goals of the ACTUAL power brokers of the nation. The DOD only arrives in order to maintain the illusion of the official reason a country is invaded or occupied (political excuses).

The CIA is utilized to facilitate the actual goals of the power brokers (not the excuses of the politicians). Arming and funding the criminal element achieves the goals faster in theory and smuggling the strategic resources out of state falls into their responsibility as well.

Unfortunately thanks to Bill Clinton and the fact it took until Y2k to implement full media control (propaganda mind control) put the schedule back. Social media evolved in the same timeline with the internet and the information could not be suppressed as has been for much of human history.

It's just unfortunate the US is in very bad spot light now that the Russians stepped up to assist the fight against IS.

If anything, it is not about Russia being the good guys and US being bad, as most pro Americans seems to think. No, we all should be pro-truth, and nothing but the truth.

Who really cares about either Putin and Obama other than getting terrorist groups randered useless.

The more you become too attached to this the more likely you'll miss the point of the truth, which unfortuntly favors Russia more than the US at this stage.

But all this events also exposes the stingy corruption that happens in US politics that radiates world over and affects peoples lives overseas while the rest of US remains war free.

You got to really ask yourself and be honest about it. There is a terrorist problem happening in the ME and the US happens to be part of it.

Peace

The solution maybe is to vote in a half decent president for once that can put together a some what semi coherent balanced foreign policy.

Your last president was a evil cold hearted bastard with the brain of a chimp and a cabinet and family full of blatant war profiteers

Your current President is a spineless incompetent who cant seem to decide what he wants to do.

This, perfect example of my above post, this is not a conspiracy theory-or satisfying my qualifications of a well thought out and practical theory, this my friend does not make you "in the know"! this is simply a policitical stance, and go Russia diatribe. As if America, or any other western Allie, isn't doing what's in its people best interest; but Putin is. It's a false dichotomy that pushes an agenda I'm not impressed.

so are you saying arming, funding, and protecting the barbarians that crucify, cannibalize, murder babies, and openly sell and trade in women and children as sex slaves and throw homosexuals from buildings is in the best interest of the US, its people, and the world?? Or Syria for that matter??

I am going to need some context on that one.

Not even factoring in this topic, Citizens United, Monsanto Protection Act, Mass Surveillance. Also for the good of our people sir??

I understand your points, but the reality is, it's not a conspiracy thoery, it just so happens to be the truth as it is happening.

There are no good guys in this fight anyway, just Putin doing the right thing at best. Something Obama could have done when he had the chance to rid of IS.

But you see, the US stance is clear Assad must go, and so in the process used your paid taxes to fund rebel groups which are basically terrorists, fighting a legitamit Syrian government.

Depends on how you twist it based on western propaganda, but that is as plain as anyone can see.

If you think that the US gov is doing that for your interest than I am afraid you're also advocating the US gov actions in the middle east.

Millions of innocent lives are being affected in the ME, how is that supporting your interests?

Well there were people that supported Adolf Hitler even beyond the total destruction and death of tens of millions of Germans, some of these people like George Soros have a very large influence to this day.Anyone that can research objectively knows who created ISIS and armed, trained and bankrolled it.It was to be a good mercinary army enemy that was going to zoom around for decades raping, beheading and crucifying in return the MIC was going to get hundreds of billions to pretend to fight it.

In Syria what right does the US 6000 miles away have to decide a leader must go and support a war thats killed 220,000 in the attempt. The situation is awful in the area,Iraq is now actively negotiating with Russia to take over from the US ISIS bombing and Tajikistan is bringing in Russin help to bolster its security. The US/Saudi influence has worn out its welcome and we are seeing a major geo-political change in the area.

How will the psychos in Washington and the Pentagon respond I dont know, but dont kid yourselves with biblical nonsence, this is not going to go the way the Religious right see The Book.
