I'm sick and tired of the gun anti gun crowd on ATS

Hey guys I'm sick of you polluting every single thread on this site. I can't stand it anymore. It's really starting to detract from the website.

I think we should ban this conversation in any and all future post in order to promote other discussions.

It's the same exact thing every single time. Everyone maintains the same exact stance it never changes.

I'm sick of it.

I am sick of quite a lot of things actually on this site.

Get over it.

This should be in the rant section. Certainly not a conspiracy, but I understand. There are shootings and instead of people mourning and reporting updates they argue about that. They're heartless, soulless creatures. As are so many humans, sometimes I even think most. Then there are those scum that say things like "And the anti gun crowd in 3..2..1..". People show mourning, show sympathy, show emotion to your fellow man, because that could be your child, your parent, your friend. Be people for christ's sake. Not some emotionless beings, cogs of the mighty machine serving no purpose.

well to be fair what do you expect to change?
for some reason guns are a big deal in america, they have some kind of "holiness" surrounding them.
if politicians can't agree on anything when it comes to guns, don't expect the people here to do it.
But to ban the conversation?
sorry that's a bad idea.
I understand your frustration but one of the reasons most of us even visit this site is for the unfiltered debates.
Small and friendly advise: when everyone was going crazy about that stupid mayan prophecy, every second post was about it...i just left the website for a couple of months, so with this last mass shooting, you know people will start that debate, so maybe take a break

Banning stuff doesn't solve problems.

You have the same problem gun banners have.

You think that as long as you don't have to deal with the issue its perfectly fine if rights are violated.

I am sick of the same people getting their pitchforks out any time a cop looks at someone wrong.

Sick of the same posters blaming America for every evil thing ever.

Sick of the influx of "my memory is infallible and I couldn't be wrong in how I remember a product-movie-song-lyric being so it has to be some X-Files explanation. "

Sick of the same posters complaining about how criminals are the victims or the man is responsible for everything in the world.


Yet if those posters were not making those posts that I disagree with this place would be boring and I would leave..

Instead of banning topics, how about we just more vigorously enforce offtopic posting rules? If you come into a thread about abortion and switch the conversation to gun laws, you should have your post removed.

I think all people should be allowed to own a gun, but...when the people can't handle it, it's a stupid idea to let the people own guns....That simple.

I agree with his point, but banning it is going too far. If you don't like something, then leave or avoid topics that might mention it. Simple.
